Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

Purr: Good to see you and your soufflés again. Gorgeous!

It's hot today. Linen and lightweight pearls. My 25th anniversary reborn pearls (earrings and choker). Large feather pendant from Kojima.

Hello Everyone! I plugged into the PP HK Facebook Live event last night and OMG did you all see that South Sea Souffle strand? It is WILD! But yah sadly it was $$$$$$. But the lust for that strand is real! I hope there will be opportunity to adopt a few loose ones in the future. And Badell (spelling?) if you are on this forum, PLEASE share IRL pics of your souffle bracelet strand when you get it.

This reminded me to bust out some pics of my Tahitian Souffle strand. Most souffles on the market are fresh water. Hisano said this SS Souffle is a new experiment. Similarly the Tahitian Souffle was a one time experiment and I think Jeremy pretty much scooped up all of them and never to be seen again. So glad I snagged a strand back then! This is an older pic, can't remember if I've posted it before, hopefully not! I restrung the souffle strand using fun pink thread with baby keshi as spacers in between. Stringing souffle isn't fun, I wouldn't recommend it. :ROFLMAO:

Keshi strands from Kojima, T Souffle from PP, Mangareva/Rikitea baby Ts from Jac way back in the days. I added flower stations to the strand for texture, color contrast, and fun.
All are gorgeous! The luster on the souflées and the baby T's is terrific. Love the flower stations.

Thank you, Douglas and Pella! Pella, if I remember correctly I think the dangles are topaz.

Beautiful pearls as always, BWeaves! And can’t wait to see what pearls you chose. I was able to catch yesterday’s event LIVE, but everyone was claiming so fast! I put my name on the waitlist and actually will get the pair of earrings I wanted. Yay!

How fun to see you, Purr! Haha- same thing- the HK event had me digging into my collection. I didn’t get any of those cool Tahitian soufflés back when, but I pulled out my tri-colored ombres for lunch today.

SS and Tahitian ombres. The two shorter necklaces are from Kojima, and the rope is from Cees.

Wearing my new lustrous drop-shaped 7-8mm akoya from Flower Jem with my keshi T studs.

I caught my reflection in a public toilet mirror today (sorry TMI) and was amazed by the luster on the akoya! It’s hard to capture how beautiful they are.

The strand is knotted with navy thread and I really like the more informal vibe.

Thanks so much, Purr! Sarah has a knack for tweaking the conventional and creating the unconventional with the surprise placement of a pearl or pearls.

Pomelo, your new strand of Akoya looks so pretty on you! Akoya pearls do know how to glow, don’t they?!

Fancy colors of Tahitians- Bubbles and sister strand both from Kojima. I added T‘s to the little discs made by a San Francisco metal artist.

Hi All! Long hiatus all year because I’ve been so busy with work 🥹

But after a busy year with alot of successful projects, I decided to treat myself to my FIRST tahitian strand!

These measure 8-10mm, and it is a 20inch strand. I used a bracelet of mine to extend it today, but it usually sits right at the clavicle

The colours are fantastic, and the strand looks so good with the alternating light, medium and dark body colour! A beautiful multicolour strand

Congratulations on your first Tahitians. Tahitians look wonderful on men.

Thanks so much, CatMom! I’ve been wanting to ask you how you’ve been doing with your wire-wrapping?

Some sentimental pearls… The Akoya pearl in the ring was a gift my grandma gave to me from a trip to Japan. I was in elementary school and this was my first pearl. The pearl came in a purple velvet hinged box. The inside of the box was also purple velvet and the pearl sat in the center on a purple velvet pedestal. My mom had it set for me some years later. The Akoya earrings were a gift from my parents when they returned from a trip to Japan. I’ve also been wearing some sentimental rings in addition to the pearl rings but haven’t mentioned them. Next to the Akoya ring is an opal ring that my other grandmother wore everyday until the day she passed. All worn with a necklace and bracelet from Takahashi. Unfortunately the weather is so dreary for pics...
