Thanks so much, BWeaves and CatMom!!

A necklace and two bracelets I wire-wrapped with rare Akoya colors from Takahashi.

Today I had company, so I layered on the pearls. Long SS, akoya, and freshwater tin-cup from Kojima. Coin pearls from Karen Brown Jewelry. Betty Davis' Teeth keshi necklace from Kojima. (I watched a Betty Davis movie, and for some weird reason this necklace reminded me of her teeth in that movie.). Perfect freshwater drops from Kojima worn on my own diamond huggies. This is the first time I've worn these pieces together, and I think I like the combo.

Thank you for your kind words, Douglas, Jeg, BWeaves and Pomelo! Bweaves, gorgeous pearls and I love your layering - I really struggle with that so appreciate the inspiration! Jeg, those are such amazing akoya colors, wow!!!

Freshwater pearl necklace and Freshadama ring from Pearl Paradise today; rope made from two smaller strands.

Pearl Dreams I love the lustre on those - they have a certain glow to them. So those are tissue nucleated (i.e. all nacre) CFWs?

Too many pearls to love and name. Pistakio!!!! And that was the best of the Kojima SoC mabe pendants.

RE: Last night's awesome natural pearl extravaganza on PP Live. What have I done? On the one hand, I've always wanted some natural pearls and these are SoC, and I've always wanted an abalone pearl. On the other hand, I don't need more pearls. I've spent way too much on pearls this year. And they'll need to be set. Then again, I want to see the pearls in person, at least, and fondle them. I can always send them back, right?

Hahaha fondling pearls is the best pastime, what a wonderful phrase!

I've always wanted an abalone pearl.
That was among the most beautiful Ab Horns I've seen, subtly vibrant colors with uninterrupted lustrous nacre surface including the top end (which creates a setting challenge as that would typically be conveniently covered by the custom metal work). Look forward to photos upon receipt!

I know! I've never seen an abalone horn that was good on all sides before. And I've never seen an abalone pearl in person. Just shell buttons.

I have a small collection of natural abalone pearls...and yes, they are usually speckled with organic defects, so finding one with few visible ones: a Treasure! And I've seen BUCKETLOADS of Abalone pearls...yes, 30-40 buckets full of natural abalone pearls...and out of all those: a handful of larger, very beautiful ones.
Abalone pearls are rarely free of imperfections, one must look away at the defects and focus on color and shape.

Thanks Douglas and Pomelo! Pomelo, I think the largest pearl in those strands is maybe around 13-14mm.

BWeaves, I hope you love your new pearls. I absolutely love the color of abalone pearls.

I had to catch up on the Live event late, but it reminded me to bring out my wild natural SOC. Two strands that I strung into a pearl chain were from Kojima, as well as the FW pendant, and the natural SOC used in the mixed necklace were from Druzy. Loose FW pearls were from Kojima.
