Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

Thanks so much, BWeaves!

A Tahitian rope from an Intergem Show, a bracelet I put together with collected Rikitea pearls from Druzy, and earrings I made with Tahitian/keshi.

I haven't worn these in a while. Pastel Tahitians from PP bought at my last RUCKUS. There were a whole bunch of baroque Tahitian necklaces on the table, but this was the only strand that was near round and pastel and very blue green. I've never seen another strand like it. The colors just don't look Tahitian, but I love blues and greens. Worn with my white gold Mikimoto huggies. These are my travel pearls, because they're comfortable and secure if I happen to doze off (says the person who lost one of the yellow gold huggies while putting on a backpack and had to have Mikimoto replace it. P.S. I've sworn off backpacks.)

I decided to let that neon green Fiji pearl from the last PP Live go to the waitlist person. But I'm taking a look at the bracelet that had Jeremy's favorite pearl in it. I'm toying with the idea of doing something like THIS with it to make it into a necklace. Half strung like a regular necklace and half funky chain without the extra pearls in the chain part. What do you think?

Thank you, CatMom!:giggle:

I remember that table of Tahitians well, BWeaves! Your necklace idea sounds like a fun one. It would be something different- more modern and a little edgy. Can’t wait to see the results if you go forward with the project. I tuned in for the Live event, but wow, the pearls flew out of there before I could even blink.

I’m wearing my vintage Akoya strand from PacificPearls.US, with my necklace of golden Akoya from Takahashi. They are a great match together. If I remember correctly, Fuji matched and assembled these strands at some point. He is a detail person. I wanted to share the temporary string because it has details on both sides. I did end up removing some pearls, but mostly because I decided on a little shorter strand. It was just a happy coincidence that it nestles and plays so nicely with the Takahashi pearls. Worn with earrings I made of vintage Biwa, golden SS keshi, and Tahitians.

Definitely go for it! I have a chunky silver bracelet that I bought especially to wear as the “other half” of a pearl necklace - the best thing is that it works with all my pearl bracelets (I have three - ombré Tahitian, bubble Tahitian and blue baroque akoya), but my favourite is the ombré soufflé Tahitian x silver chain. I don’t have photos of the other two combinations as I only ever reach for this combo!

The best thing is, I can wear it with the white pearls or the black pearls facing the front. Lots of fun!

Note that you’d need the clasp / fastenings to work with the chain, if you decide to go with a pearl bracelet + metal bracelet combination.

What does the bracelet with Jeremy’s favourite pearl look like?

Yeah!!!!! That's the idea! I love your version. Very versatile.

I was thinking of using a small orbit clasp on each end so it looked like a link, and I could hang a pendant off it, too. The pearls are a graduated bracelet length strand of white Fiji pearls. The center pearl is Jeremy's favorite. It's a multicolor pearl. It looks white with some stained glass light falling across it, I think. I don't think the pearls are very big, so the chain part will need to be daintier, but I'm thinking definite links, not thin chain.

I may change my mind when I see the pearls in person before I make a decision. My pearl budget is really maxed out right now.

Yeah, I ended up with the neon green pearl and the bracelet because nobody pounced on them. I can't pounce that fast. I was really surprised nobody went for these two, because they were GORGEOUS. I did remember someone later waitlisted themselves for the neon green pearl, so I didn't feel guilty letting that one go. I think nobody went for the bracelet because it was mostly white. It didn't have those warm brown colors that scream Fiji pearls. But I was really drawn to Jeremy's favorite pearl. I totally get why it was his favorite.

It's cold today. OK, it's 58F, which is cold for Florida. I'm wearing winter pearls. There's something about these colors that just screams winter to me.My Edisons from the PP Live Event. These look like metal balls to me. Even I have a hard time believing these are natural colored pearls, and I know they are. PP strung on them on purple Serafil thread from Pattye. Kamoka Bali earrings in 22K gold. The earrings don't match the necklace, but I like how they look together.
