Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

Gorgeous pearls everyone!
Makes me feel so much better to see you all with your precious babies!
I contracted COVID last week...was a very rough week for me, but seems I am finally seeing the pearl at the end of the pearl-sac!
And watching your pearl picks in pics just made me feel so much better!
Wish you all a lovely Sunday!
I hope you feel better soon Douglas.

Get well soon Douglas.

Digging into my lesser worn pearls today. Coin pearl strand from Karen Brown Jewelry, restrung with Mom's clasp. Betty Davis' Teeth keshi strand from Kojima. I watched a Betty Davis movie right after buying this strand, the pearls and gold rondel beads reminded me of her teeth in that movie. I don't remember the movie. My birthday strand. It's not Mikimoto. Mom had a spare Miki clasp put on the strand, but the pearls are definitely Miki quality. I recently restrung this necklace, tightly, so it's considerably shorter now. Very 1950's Leave It To Beaver June Cleaver shorter. Perfect freshwater drops from Kojima worn on my own diamond hoops. This all feels very fresh and springy with the mint green linen.

Thanks so much, BWeaves, Pearls&Pugs and CatMom!

BWeaves, you are pulling off a glamorous June Cleaver vibe!

Red, I love feather pearls, and I really love the lumpy shape of your new pendant! (That sounds unflattering and it’s not meant to be!)

I made this tin cup last night with my dwindling stash of tiny Tahitians from Alex Collins :17:. The earring jackets are also made with tiny T’s from Alex, and the Tahitian keshi studs are from Takahashi. The Tahitian keshi smile necklace is from Kojima.

Thank you for the kind comments on yesterday's lavender pearls. Today I wore my GSS pendant and keshi earring studs.

I call the pendant the Golden Olive because of its size, shape and color. In 2017 I asked Pearl Paradise to find me a GSS drop for a pendant on one of their buying trips to Hong Kong. They found this pearl and I remember Jeremy spinning it like a top on the high table at PP and my heart going to my throat for fear it would spin onto the floor. It didn't. There was no wobble or drift at all due to the perfect symmetry.

I wore this pendant to the 2018 Ruckus and it caught the experienced eye of Jacques Branellec of Jewelmer, who told me my pearl was "one in a million". He then stopped and thought for a moment and amended it "no, it's one in five million". I purchased the golden keshi nuggets for stud earrings at this same ruckus.

The golden nuggets that caught my eye.

I enjoy wearing these simple treasures.

Wearing my new Takahashi BBA pendant today. The 2 pearls are insanely blue. They glow blue like the spines on the back of Godzilla Minus One right before he goes nuclear with his death ray. It's a great summer pearl.

Wow, your golden's are so gorgeous!

Today I'm wearing a vintage tourmaline and pearl necklace my hubby bought in Japan 25 years ago. I'm not sure what kind of pearls those are other than large and circled. I'm wearing them with Edisons I strung and a lavender FFW bracelet from PP.

Red is BACK and we are delighted! Memories ... Jacques and Ruckus :) Your GSS are indeed one among millions; I especially love the setting on the earrings ... dreamy

BWeaves, that Mint Linen is the perfect backdrop for so many pearls; classic white summer looks, and now insanely Blue ... WOW!

Thank you, BWeaves and CatMom! Yeah, I guess it’s hard to get any sympathy when it was such a fantastic stash to play with.

Ahhhh, dreamy goldens, Red! My all time favorites are those golden keshi. I remember standing by you when we were looking in that very very special box.

BWeaves, I love your new pendant! It’s so gorgeous and sparkly!

So pretty in your lavender mauvy shades, CatMom! Very fun layers for sure!
