Show us your live event purchases!

My buyer's remorse just arrived, and I love it. The Takahashi blue baroque pendant. I'm still having a bit of buyer's remorse on this one, because it was such an impulse buy. But it's so unique compared to all my other pendants, and the blues are soooooo blue. Insanely blue. My kinda blue.

Also, I've never had an adjustable chain before. I'm going to have to play with that a bit. I think this is going to be a good summer pendant.

Have no regrets. It’s such a lovely piece. It’s graceful and the pearls are stunning.

Alright, poll time! I have the drilled goldens back in my possession today. I already set the near round with a white gold diamond bail, but I wanted to see everybody's opinion on how to set this one. It's nighttime so lighting isn't great but I was too excited to wait until this weekend to start trying to do this.

This first two pictures are with a mint garnet in both silver and gold bails.

Next two are with an Afghan emerald in gold and silver. The stone is crooked in the picture with the gold setting but I didn't want to adjust the prongs unless I am actually putting that stone in there.

Next two are with a Zambian emerald in gold and silver.

And the last two are with a demantoid garnet in gold and silver.

What do you guys think?
I like the dark afghan emerald with the gold bale. I love a contrast as well, gold pearl with a white gold bale especially if the bale has diamonds. In this instance you already have a contrasting color with the emerald. I like the continuity of the gold bale. It unifies the piece and also makes it richer in appearance.

Hi all! Newbie here. Love everything! I am dying for my first purchase to come. Seems to be stuck in customs. The early Black friday day 2 from Takahashi pearls. I hope people continue to post their live purchase treasures!

Welcome to the forum Shani! Customs release is always random for me. Sometimes it sails through a customs facilities, and other facilities hold it up for more scrutiny. Looking forward to seeing your selection! I usually post my purchases in the ”Show Us Your Pearls in Action” thread with other pearls. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to catch all the Live events live, but I have still managed to make some small purchases after the event.

Thank you! I tell you, I really wish I had more money for things of beauty. I am obsessed with pearls and since I took the CPAA (I think that's what it's called) course, it has opened my eyes to the garbage that a majority of Canadian jewelry stores try to pass off for crazy prices!

I finally gave my beloved her birthday gift: a GORGEOUS Golden Akoya pearl necklace.
She LOVED it!
She wore it daily!
It just seems to "float" on her neck, and due to her skin tone it just GLOWS.
It had been a while since I have purchased any Akoya pearls, but I think I can become a true fan by getting this fine quality.
Purchased during the first live event in Japan.

It does look great on her, Douglas!

I know lots of us were on the fiji livestream last night. I know a few from PG got some incredible pieces and I cant wait to see them either here in this thread or on the your pearls in action thread.

My Takahashi live event necklace just arrived. T22: 6.0-8.0 mm Blue Round Akoya and White Keshi Pearl Necklace, 32" long. Hisano thinks it was a collaboration between Takahashi and the other vendor that does the teeny tiny keshi. I better not break any of these strands because there is no way I can restring this necklace. I was not prepared for how TINY the keshi are. And blues are really intense blue. The lighting is terrible today and the camera is not showing how incredibly blue these are. The blues are graduated, so the whole necklace has a nice wave effect.

This rope is the best combination of my addiction to blue akoyas and my lusting after a bunch of strands of those teeny, tiny keshi that I did not buy during the keshi live event. There are 7 strands of the keshi.

Oh wow....when you said teeny tiny keshi, it didn't register just HOW teeny tiny they are until you put them in your hand! I wonder what size needle they used to string them. :)

That is a beautiful piece!

This necklace is simply GORGEOUS!

It is! It is insanely gorgeous in person. The blues are really round and very blue with pink overtones, and the white keshi just glow. And with 7 strands of keshi, they "read" about 7-8mm wide. I was really surprised that nobody else jumped on this piece. I waited and waited, and decided it's a sign, "It's mine!"

It's also my first experience with the "bean" clasp. It's very easy to use, although I don't think I'll ever open it. It's an over the head rope. I tried doubling up the necklace, but at 32" long, it's a little too high and tight for my old neck.

It’s so gorgeous and delicate, BWeaves!

I haven’t been able to catch most of these events live, but I’ve still managed to find a few little goodies here and there. This is a little pair of SS keshi from the Takahashi live event. I immediately thought of studs to use with all my dangly jackets, but I’ve also really enjoyed them as simple little studs on their own. (weird shadows- my fingers almost look ombre 😆)

Bweaves - I know they showed a video of the artisans drilling those super tiny keshis but I still cannot make my mind believe that anybody would be able to drill into something so tiny! And then to be able to sort them and string them all up.. it's mind-boggling. It's a work of art.

Jeg ‐ what cute little keshis! I need some jackets and have been meaning to make some. Maybe I'll make that a project for this weekend.

I have gotten a few things from livestreams recently but I have no pictures of them and I am only home during the week when it's dark now. I may have to bring them with me to work so that I can hopefully get some good shots.

Thank you, lary007! Ooooo, if you work on any projects this weekend, please be sure to share!! I’ve had a lot of fun making the dangly jackets, but I get lazy about switching them out with different studs. I need to be better about that…
