Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

Beautiful purples, BWeaves!

Syrie, it’s fun to window shop in Hawaii. Lots of pearls everywhere. I also love looking at jewelry created by local artists with the island/beachy vibe.

Congratulations on your first wire wrapping project Shani! It’ll give you lots of options for designing your own pieces.

Baggins Akoya wave rope, a multi-color Akoya necklace I put together with pearls from Druzy, and earrings from Hawaii.

The high-luster on these pearls is just delicious! Your pearls are always stunning.

While this isn't what I'm wearing today, I did take the pics and forgot to post them earlier this week. The longer strand is blue akoya from Oceans Cove, the double strand is a vintage blue akoya find from a local consignment shop, and the earrings are Sea of Cortez from the PP live stream in Mexico. Even though I'm mixing and matching blue akoya with SoC, I think the colors go well together.

Time for some Freshie love. Yesterday I was in blue wearing raggedy kasumi like pearls from Simply Adorned, which I had to restring due to the knots slipping through the large holes in the pearls, I think I did a great job! The shorter strand is from House of Pearls.

Purple shirt day showing the same short strand and a lovely pendant tin cup style chain from Simply Adorned! Yeah I hate my neck, but my it holds my head up so I should be grateful I guess :)

You look lovely! And yes, my neck photos bother me, too. :) However, I am positive that no one stares at our necks IRL because they look at our pearls!

I also find out that we are our own worst critics. Most things people might spare a passing glance on, but when you bring it up, their focus goes straight there to something they wouldn't have paid mind to if one hadn't kept their big mouth shut :D

OOOO, I love everything everyone has posted.

Jeans and a T-shirt today. Bali earrings and Coral Atoll necklace, both from Kamoka. I find I reach for these pieces when I want to throw something on quickly. The necklace pearls are actually from Kamoka's sister pearl farm that produces more circles than smooth rounds. It's very dark and colorful. I didn't think I'd like the simple, chunky hook clasp, but I really love it. It stays closed. I bought the earrings when I was looking for studs. I normally don't like fishhooks because they work their way out of my piercings, but these stay put.

Took the quickest picture running out the door, so not the best lighting and detail. Tiny Tahitian keshi huggies, white Edison and Tahitian necklace, and a Tahitian single pearl on a paperclip mixed chain bracelet. None of it really goes together per se but there’s a Tahitian theme. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the center pearl on the necklace, but the overall design goes so well with a lot of my clothes so I end up wearing it pretty often. Just had it on this past weekend at a bridal shower as well.

I love the pearl on the bracelet. It’s got such nice luster and just a few tiny spots / off round shape. But the color is such a nice green with a silver-pink overtone. I tried to take a better picture for the color. I find that I’m having a hard time with the verbiage around Tahitian colors. (And with identifying the colors as it’s kind of subjective sometimes?) So I’m trying to learn how to best describe it.

I think brown may not be the best color to wear with pink pearls, but they look better in real life than in the photos. Freshwater tin-cup and matching earrings from Kojima. Sarah made this necklace for me when then necklace I wanted to buy got bought by someone else because I dithered too long. Then she made matching earrings for me. I love them. A very lightweight versatile set.

The Divine Sarah pendant from Kojima. This pearl is insane. It's huge. The nacre is incredibly thick. And the rainbow of colors are mesmerizing. I jumped on this pearl before it was even for sale. I'd learned my lesson.
