Happy weekend to you all!

Strand of Tahitians I bought in Kobe when I visited nearly two months ago (!). I need to do a write up of my trip as I had an amazing time doing pearl and jewellery related things.

It’s interesting how the centre pearl looks obviously off-round when placed down, but is not so obvious when worn, especially against dark coloured clothing.

I had the hank restrung with black thread and love the moody effect…

Looks gorgeous on you!

Your new strand is beautiful, Pomelo! They look fantastic on you!

A blue Akoya rope from PP, a blue Akoya strand and studs from Takahashi, and jackets I made with loose Akoya from Takahashi. (the blue drops in the jackets were from one of the PP/Takahashi live events)

Just stunning! I love blue Akoyas- I can't believe they weren't on my radar until a 4 or 5 years ago. My first purchase was an intensely blue 6.5mm bracelet with sloppy nacre (it had little drips and globs). Based on that piece, I would never have predicted that we'd be here.

Thanks so much Douglas and pearlgirl12! The rope from PP is from one of their earlier collections a long time ago. I don’t remember anyone else carrying the blue Akoya back then. I’m sure the farmers were thrilled when the color took off.

The mixed Kojima tin cup is from my first Ruckus. The Sea of Cortez earrings are from Kojima, and I put together the Tahitian keshi scatter chain.
