Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

Nobody wants to see my old face, including me. Everyone wants to see my pearls. Pattye, on the other hand, is beautiful!!!!
Actually, you are wrong. There was a photo where you were in a sari if I am not mistaken and you look lovely. The reason your pearls look beautiful is because they reflect the person who is wearing them. Otherwise they are just sea rocks.

Party season! Ombre Tahitian from PP, earring jackets and two tin cups I made with tiny Tahitians from Alex Collins.

Lary, those are so pretty.

A few days ago I wore The Hamentaschen and my Miki earrings.

Yesterday, I wore my new blues, but forgot to take a photo.
Today it was Little h pendant on a Viking knit yellow gold choker and my metallic drops.

Fancy pearls and denim. My favorite combination.
I completely adore that shark tooth pearl on the cable!! Perfection! I also completely adore your "swan"!!

JerseyPearl, THANK YOU! Thank you for redrilling a couple of my Ruckus blue akoya pearls with challenging holes. I decided to even put the ugly pearl back in the strand. I put both by the last clasp, because the holes were larger and that's where I need a little extra width to work the ends of the thread back through.

The strand was originally 22" with a ball clasp.

The strand after restringing the first time with an orbit clasp, but missing the two challenging pearls.

I actually liked that length, but I wanted to use all the pearls, since I bought them. After redrilling and restringing again. The orbit clasp added one pearl length to the necklace.

Since I couldn't simultaneously wear them and restring them, I decided it was a amethyst kind of day.

That is STUNNING! I love it!

Prison Stripes Today with Silver Tahitian rope

Prison Stripes Today with Silver Tahitian rope

Prison stripes for me today but adorned with my silver baroque rope of Tahitians. The rope is 32" with circled baroque pearls and the largest pearl is about 11"by 13". I have included the awful vendor picture which I found in my files.

Those are insanely gorgeous! Wow, wow wow!!

Yes, they are two 18" strands linked together! I'm going to restring these into a proper rope. The smaller strand is 6-8mm and the larger 8-10mm. Both strands are AA+ silver ovals from PP.

Here you go!

Those are so stunning in both bright and muted light. I think I really resonate with the silver/grey look!

MSC- I love your style and creativity! So fun!

Today I thought I would mix it up with a Mother of Pearl necklace. It is a Navajo piece by Leroy Begay on a braided leather neckband. It is absolutely lovely in person. It is also interchangeable and I threw in a picture of the Kingman turquoise that goes with the neckpiece. Native American jewelry utilizes a great deal of Mother of Pearl. (Navajo pearls are one of my other pearl loves!)

That piece is stunning!

OOOO JEG, I remember that MOP necklace from my first RUCKUS at the weird white house. I love it. The feather earrings go perfect with it.

I've decided to pass on the 11mm pair of blue pearls, BF14C. It turned out that there was a typo on PP website and it wasn't B that was still available, it was C. I didn't care. Both pairs were gorgeous. But by the time I added a diamond earring finding, the earrings were getting more expensive than I wanted to spend. Although the earrings would have matched my Takahasi blue pearl pendant nicely. And I still have the blue pearl and tiny keshi rope on its way to me, too.

So, if anyone still wants BF14C pair, I can confirm they are insanely erectochromatic as Douglas would say.

Here is my ombré soufflé Tahitian baroque bracelet, pearls chosen by me from a little tub at General Pearl in Tokyo when I visited Japan for a short trip (pearls were drilled and strung after I got home).

Getting to hand-pick each one whilst chatting with the son of General Pearl’s founder (who was in the store) was a lot of fun!

(I added three leftover WSS to the “white” end of the bracelet)

Fakey, fakey. Mom's Majorica faux Tahitians.

This is a gorgeous set of costume jewelry. But I kept feeling like I am cheating on my real pearls.
Plus, the earrings hurt my ears after about 8 hours.

I think I'll see if Sister wants them. I think she might be up for a swap.
I have a string of Majorca pearls, I love them to wear in the summer when I have to muush up with sunscreen!

Conscious that I've been monopolising this thread but I wanted to share my newly restrung silver babies with you. I shortened it to 17" per my beading board or 16.25" per my tape measure..weird!! I may add a few pearls back in for a little extra length.

With my peacock Ts. This strand is definitely longer than 18", just over 19" per the tape measurer.

Those strands are delicious!

I'm terrible at switching things up. When I'm into something, I'll go into a tear and keep on wearing the same thing until I move on to the next lol. Liking the combo I wore to the NYC Mini Ruckus so have been repeating it! Also liking this pic cuz it felt like fall.

Love the juicy darkness goin on!

Thank you for the kind comments about my pendant and harvest strand.

Today I wore a couple of mismatched pendants. Just because I like them. My carved Kamoka again, and a recent upgrade of a Kasumi pendant that I've had for several years. This colorful Kasumi drop hangs from a Mexican opal. Setting and design by Soren at T Lee in Minneapolis.
