you could also have an archer's bump, or whatever they're called, added to the center of the OUTSIDE of the ring, opposite the pearl - i have made a few rings this way, and the way they keep your ring from turning is that your thumb has something to fiddle with all day long, keeping the ring in place. of course, this requires you to have figget-y hands and fingers, but i found that it worked.

of course, i gave them away, i will have to go find another online example for a photo..

I have a personal interest in you finding a way to keep your ring in place I still haven't set the gorgeous Kasumi pearl I have and with a tight budget the design of your ring is the obvious (only) choice.

Karin - I have several pearl rings set in the simple design that theseventhsphinx chose. I have them all sized to my ring size of 7.5, but I find the ones with the wider band tend to spin less. If you went even a little wider, it should help lessen the spin. Just a thought, because I would love to see your Kasumi pearl!

I know about the wide band but the only one I've seen available (and affordable) is the one from Pearl Paradise and it's narrow. Might be the one used for ring in question.

I may just have to wait Especially since I think I've finally seen the earring findings for my lime Tahitians.

I just wanted to add that a couple of my pearl rings were assembled by my local jeweler. Any simple round band can have a pearl added to it by a competent jeweler, so band availability should not be the limiting factor. I do understand that not everyone is fortunate to have a competant and reasonably priced local jeweler.

Will get it resized this week and see how it goes. I'm concerned that the bumps on the inside of the ring might hurt if I am carrying something heavy (I always seem to be carrying heavy grocery bags and toting stuff around), but I'm intrigued by this archer's bump. I don't know if it would just drive me crazy, though. In this particular example it makes the ring look so elegantly embellished.

Red's idea of a wider band seems solid, too, though I have such dramatic emotions about proportions, and for me a wide band usually won't work at all.
