Beautiful! I love the less formal look of the pearls falling where they do, don’t get me wrong, perfectly nested pearls are lovely, but I think randomness is a great casual look.

Day 357:

Pond slime freshwater necklace from Catherine Cardellini, freshadama dangles from Pearl Paradise.

In person, the off round pondslime pearls have a matte luster which contrasts nicely with the high luster and rainbow overtones of the coin pearls.

I wasn’t sure which earrings to pair with this piece. It has a lot going on so these little earrings seemed like a good choice. These were my first earrings from PP, bought when I knew nothing about pearls. Mia recommended the size (7-8mm) and finding. Full disclosure, these earrings have not gotten a lot of love. Pearl shrinkage syndrome quickly set in and I lost interest. But I’ve since discovered that these modest little earrings are just the thing with a statement piece or an outfit that won’t tolerate larger pearls.

It is a yucky name! But I think after a while you automatically think of the pearls and not so much of the slime. I guess it will never be as glamorous as “peacock “!

Day 356:

I always wear this rope long and added a picture of it like that for variety, but today it was doubled so that it could peek out of the buttoned up sweater. I was shocked that the pearls remained exactly where they were, for hours. No shifting! It must have to do with the large pearl size.
