Who is attending the Pearl-Guide Ruckus 2016, July 29, 30, 31???

Well, in the past there have not been name tags. BWeaves, I will pm you my cell number, as several of us from the West Coast are supposed to arrive about the same time as you. But in the past there have been delays, and several different airlines are involved. But it is fun to meet up at the airport whenever possible!

Yup, name tags are not necessary. We will all know you by your cool red glasses!!!

Don't worry over much about our real names ... many of us feel our PG names ARE our real names and will gladly answer to LOL! We as well as others, might be seen around the airport too. You really will recognize our necks with and without pearls :)

OMG, there better be big name tags with really big print and both our online and real names.

And even though I kinda "know" you all, I still may ask you your names several times, and then say, "Doh, I knew that."

Don't worry. I'm dreadful with names. And we all have two names? Forget it...!

Sounds like this year the ruckus is the biggest ever! So name tag would be more helpful than in prior years.
As for my boyfriend, you all can call him by his future PG name: HereToBuyPurranhaPearls. ;)

I shall travel to the mansion on Friday by myself, as I have made plans for the few hours I have spare.

And I am easily recognised - a short and plus size Chinese who wears glasses, bold and colourful Jamsworld Hawaiian shirts, usually with shorts, and black Crocs.

DK :D

I probably will recognize everyone by their necks, hahahaha!

And some of my friends call me B, so my stage name isn't that far from my real one.

I'm soooo excited, and soooo looking forward to meeting everybody!!! I live in LA, we'll either take my car or uber to Mullholland. AND once there, I'll be checking out necks to see who I can recognize!!

I am fine answering to Kay -- it's actually my middle name.

I am so excited for the ruckus, but have had a bit of a set back. My back went out Thursday and I had to spend 2 days in bed because I could barely walk. It is getting better, but I will probably have to move slowly and sit down a lot.

Kay - Do take care so that you are well enough to pearl shop. Looking forward to seeing you and your goldens, etc.

Please tell me LA has good air con everywhere, otherwise I am going to melt, as the weather forecast predicted high 20s/low 30s degC during my stay!

And anything over 20 degC is considered as "hot" for me!

DK

Frankly, air-conditioning hasn't quite caught on on the West Coast. There isn't much to be found. But the ocean breezes should help a bit. I suggest you bring a paper fan or two. It's so lovely to see dozens of be-pearled women waving their fans delicately...

It will be about 80F which it'll be cool for me, haha. But yeah, I hope there's air conditioning, because that's still hot.

How close are the LA fires to where we are staying?

Nice photo BWeaves. Love those Red glasses. I haven't been reading this whole thread, is your DH coming?

Just finalised the itinerary for my own trip to LA and booked excursions/activities etc...

DK :)

I shall bring a cheapo fan or two with me. thanks.

Lol I have a few fans from the Jade Market in Taiwan and I don't go anywhere without one in the peak of summer! IMG_2635.jpg

I grew up in LA and every residence and business in my travels all have AC! I'd be very surprised if the mansion didnt have AC, considering its location is somewhat inland from the coast. Having said that, fans and pearls still make a great combo!

BWeaves, the sand fire is about 35 miles north of LA. Hopefully by the weekend it'll be contained, but no chance of reaching LA!
