Rough draft for the Tahitians from HK show.

Rough draft for the Tahitians from HK show.

This is a work in progress. I wasn't sure that the length was going to work for me without adding pearls. So,as a trial run, instead of knotting the pearls I used these tiny tiny little black acrylic beads between the pearls so I could string it on wire but get the length that would come with the knots. Worked pretty well..in fact they look just like knots!;)

Nice job Katbran! Very pretty, trendy & elegant.

Cheers

My tenant in Melbourne has reassured me my daffodils and snowdrops are still sprouting; well that was six months ago. Since spring is soon upon you guys from the northern hemisphere, here is my take on spring. A pearl-lite version of a cornucopia of gems including green gold quartz, tourmaline, rubies, sapphires, garnet, peridot, seed pearls and (am still crushing) ethiopian opal in yellow and white.

Happy spring everyone.

Adeline,

Another lovely design! You really capture the essence of spring warmth after the thaw with those lovelies! Love them!

Cheers

Dear Isabelle, Ash, Lisa, Nora and Karin: Thank you so much. Each and every comment makes this heart sing! Thank you for taking the time; it means so much to me.

Pattye: Ditto on the verb 'crushing'. I scamper to the Urban Dictionary (http://www.urbandictionary.com/) to give myself some street cred with the younger colleagues at work and am sure I'll be checking that site often when my daughters soon come into their tweens.

Defined as "A verb used to describe someone being very attracted to someone else. When someone has a crush on someone, they would be described as "crushing on him/her".

Ben: Hey, Sean. What's up?
Sean: Oh my god, I'm totally crushing right now.

Katbran: I will confess to my my very own Aladdin-Adeline's Cave of Treasures. Here's two shots of recent buys that have not made it past that big rock at the entrance of the figurative cave (aka steel door to the safe) yet. And apologies for being so excitable but it includes my first golden south sea baroques (yay!) and I am stepping my game up to work with tahitian baroques (I'm slowly assembling a project) instead of the CFWP that I usually play with.
