Yes...the ringed/baroque ones are more unique because you will never find another one that looks exactly the sameLovely! I prefer the organic shapes of ringed/baroque pearls!

That is a stunning strand of T's. I feel your pain about the cost. I lusted after the multi colored Fiji strand presented to the Sussexes from J Hunter but just couldn't justify the cost. My friend, David Norman, recreated the strand & gave me such a discount that I could not say no. I don't regret getting it at all. It did put a pinch in my pearl budget but well worth it. I get so many compliments on it & my BBF will inherit it upon my passing. I have no daughters & I want my pearls to be worn. Several of my sentimental pieces have been allocated in my will to friends who will wear them & remember me. Can't wait to see pics of you mult strand!I've been watching a fantastic strand of multi color Tahitians at a store in Chicago for a long time, even received a discounted price from the seller, but I just couldn't justify the cost (even though they were my dream mix of colors and super high-end at a fantastic purchase price of around $50/pearl!). Then, last week, I noticed that they sold! Oh well, that strand wasn't meant to be for me. Then, I ran across a strand of similar color ringed style multi-color Tahitians in the SAME COLORS earlier today for about 1/10th the price (after all, round perfect skin VS. ringed with imperfections does make a pretty significant cost difference). Both were great prices for what they were, but I was excited to find my color choices without having to pay so much for all that perfection. I'll post them when they arrive. I hope they are as beautiful as the photographs.
You're right, timing IS everything.
Below is a picture of the strand I missed... Really wish I could have afforded it!!! 18K Yellow Gold Diamond Twist Clasp, 10mm-12mm and everything!

Similar colors but they are high-luster ringed pearls. The strand I purchased also has a "hidden" twist clasp with the finding drilled into the pearl. I promise to post photos when it arrives. This is really pretty. I love the diamond twist clasps..wish all the strands (well, the higher end ones) came with it...So the new strand you bought is similar to this one?

Hi @BWeaves I actually thought the same thing when I looked at that picture: Liquid Gold. It's amazing that a pearl could be so Golden that it actually looks like it's metallic!WOWZA! Heartofawearness. Liquid gold, and perfect baroque shapes. Gorgeous.
Motherofpearltrumpet. Lovely. I've run out of fingers and toes counting the Tahitian pearls that got away.
ooo........aaahhhhh...these are gorgeous and they look great on you @jeg You made this? Wowza...gorgeous colors and the luster...Beautiful all whites, BWeaves!
I was so enamored with a photo posted on Kojima’s IG, of all the colors of Akoya Sarah found in a lot. I envisioned a tin cup bracelet. I asked Sarah about the pearls, but unfortunately they were not suited for being made into a tin cup. So, I asked Takahashi if they might have some baroque Akoya in varied sizes and unusual colors. They kept me posted and let me know they were “looking up and down their office,” and then came back with a fantastic selection. How could I choose 10 for a bracelet?! Change of plans… I purchased all of them and made a necklace. These are baroque Akoya, and are all natural colors.

Absolutely stunning set. What am I wearing today...I am wearing my new Golden SS pearl Baroque Strand with Matching earrings. They're from a collection that PP got from Jewelmer. Honestly, I was looking for round pearls, but when I read 'Jewelmer' I thought it would be a great opportunity to own a strand of pearls from a pearl farm that I could probably never afford. These are baroque but they are absolutely beautiful, they have super smooth and lustrious skins, some imperfections (but not many), the color is to die for (I've been searching for this color but was never able to find anything this 'deep') and it has both rose and silver overtones. Nice size too: 11.6 to 13.4mm on the strand and the earrings are 11.4mm. The ring is an 11.6mm oval in the Oracle setting. The strand came with the matching earrings and I wanted a matching ring so Hisano found the most beautiful oval pearl in the vault to match. I love it!

Thank you, heartofawareness! Yes, I wirewrapped that necklace. Also, your goldens are fabulous! Loved your post!
Thanks, Katbran! The pearls are a range of sizes from 6-9mm.
I wore the Akoya necklace for Pearls By The Bay, along with a blue Akoya strand and studs from Takahashi, and a rope of SS and Akoya from Kojima.

Such a helpful little rabbit !I was THERE and still I see new things in Travel Bunny's photos! Nothing better than Travel Bunny rummaging amongst the pearls. At the last minute I remembered a pair of pearls I wanted, and had no idea where they were anymore; Travel Bunny ran away, ran back and dropped that pair on the table right in front of me ... !
