Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

WOWZA! Heartofawearness. Liquid gold, and perfect baroque shapes. Gorgeous.

Motherofpearltrumpet. Lovely. I've run out of fingers and toes counting the Tahitian pearls that got away.
Hi @BWeaves I actually thought the same thing when I looked at that picture: Liquid Gold. It's amazing that a pearl could be so Golden that it actually looks like it's metallic!

Beautiful all whites, BWeaves!

I was so enamored with a photo posted on Kojima’s IG, of all the colors of Akoya Sarah found in a lot. I envisioned a tin cup bracelet. I asked Sarah about the pearls, but unfortunately they were not suited for being made into a tin cup. So, I asked Takahashi if they might have some baroque Akoya in varied sizes and unusual colors. They kept me posted and let me know they were “looking up and down their office,” and then came back with a fantastic selection. How could I choose 10 for a bracelet?! Change of plans… I purchased all of them and made a necklace. These are baroque Akoya, and are all natural colors.

What am I wearing today...I am wearing my new Golden SS pearl Baroque Strand with Matching earrings. They're from a collection that PP got from Jewelmer. Honestly, I was looking for round pearls, but when I read 'Jewelmer' I thought it would be a great opportunity to own a strand of pearls from a pearl farm that I could probably never afford. These are baroque but they are absolutely beautiful, they have super smooth and lustrious skins, some imperfections (but not many), the color is to die for (I've been searching for this color but was never able to find anything this 'deep') and it has both rose and silver overtones. Nice size too: 11.6 to 13.4mm on the strand and the earrings are 11.4mm. The ring is an 11.6mm oval in the Oracle setting. The strand came with the matching earrings and I wanted a matching ring so Hisano found the most beautiful oval pearl in the vault to match. I love it!

Absolutely stunning set.

Thank you, 86C! You can message them through either of their IG pages. takahashi_pearl_official or takahashi_pearl_co ltd You can message me if you have any questions about ordering. Just let me know if you do, cuz I usually don’t check messages.

Thank you, heartofawareness! Yes, I wirewrapped that necklace. Also, your goldens are fabulous! Loved your post!

Thanks, Katbran! The pearls are a range of sizes from 6-9mm.

I wore the Akoya necklace for Pearls By The Bay, along with a blue Akoya strand and studs from Takahashi, and a rope of SS and Akoya from Kojima.

You have gorgeous pearls @jeg I like how you show them on you and then you have a separate picture where we can see them up close. Each picture I see of your pearls makes me drool, LOL... Are those silver blue akoyas in the middle (they seem a bit too round to be)...

Thank you so much, heartofawareness and CathyKeshi! :giggle: Heartofawareness, the photos go back a few years when a few people started asking about the clothes, so I try to incorporate as much of the clothes as possible. But those pics do not show the pearls well at all, and since we’re all about pearls, I try to get a better pic of the pearls with close ups. Natural light around here doesn’t always cooperate when I have a chance to take some pics, though…

And thank you, CathyKeshi! That strand always seems to get a lot of attention.

Such a gorgeous combination!

Heartofawareness, I’m sorry, I noticed you had a question about the Akoya studs. But now I can’t remember which pair was in the photo. I have two larger sized silver blue Akoya studs from Takahashi. One pair is round and is 9.5-10mm, and another pair is near round and is 10.5-11mm. I think that is the round pair in the pic.

Awesome pictures @jeg !! I want it ALL :ROFLMAO: Seriously...there's a lot of jewelry in that studio...feels like we need to get our feather boas and heels and have a girls/guys day out!! Rent the studio space for pearl parties!!

I was THERE and still I see new things in Travel Bunny's photos! Nothing better than Travel Bunny rummaging amongst the pearls. At the last minute I remembered a pair of pearls I wanted, and had no idea where they were anymore; Travel Bunny ran away, ran back and dropped that pair on the table right in front of me ... :)!

Such a helpful little rabbit :)!

Oh JEG, thank you for the tour of the Kojima studio. It's really nice to see the different pieces next to each other. It helps determine scale, if you know what I mean.

Today I'm wearing all Kojima. Ombre' tin-cup. The Queen pendant. Winter Snowman and Summer Rain pendants on my earring hoops. Ok, and I'm modeling my Sea of Cortez pearl from Douglas in the Pearl Paradise rose gold ring setting, and a Tahitian yellow gold ring from Kamoka, but I took them off to go weave so they don't snag the threads.

Ah, the light is washing out the pearls in the last two photos.

Cathy, I have the same issue about seeing things in the photos that I don’t remember seeing, and I’m the one who took the pics!!!:pat:

All beautiful pearls, BWeaves! That SOC pearl is really special and you chose the perfect setting for it.

Blue Tahitian strand with a Monili orchid clasp from PP. The tiny pearl in the orchid is an abalone pearl. Blue Tahitian studs are from Alex Collins, and a bracelet I made with tiny blue Tahitians from JNB.

That clasp is gorgeous. So are the pearls, but that clasp! I love a good clasp. It elevates a strand to the next level.

So today, I'm wearing a clasp I didn't think I'd like. I suspect this will be my 100 year old pearls, because it'll be the only clasp I can work successfully when I'm 100. Same with the earrings. Easy to put on. All Tahitians from Kamoka. Celeste told me that the circled pearls in the necklace came from Kamoka's sister farm. The sister farm produces more circles, while Kamoka produces more smooth rounds. The center pearl on the necklace is intensely dark teal green.

I bought the earrings when I was actually looking for studs, but I loved the 18K gold Bali setting. This is the first pair of hooks I've owned that don't work their way out of my piercings.
