Thanks, bweaves! I will contact them now. I hope it didn't get sent to the next person!

Update: the lovely Inta got me taken care of!

Today I'm wearing some big Chinese ripples and a baroque blue akoya tin cup bracelet, both from Pure Pearls.

I just got a call from Mikimoto. My earrings are ready and should be here tomorrow! Lucy in the workshop originally told me it might be 5 weeks, but that was when they were trying to match the new earring to my existing pearl. But it only took 2 days to replace my pearl with a matching pair of pearls they already had. I can't wait to see what the new pearls look like.

And Hisano's favorite Kasumi pearl should also arrive tomorrow. I'll take a look at it to decide if it's a keeper, and then send it right back so they can set it. I still haven't heard about shipping for the BBA necklace from Takahashi, but I think PP is still working their way through the hundreds of pearls we all bought in 3 days.

Today my pearls are all over the place. Nothing matches, but everything goes with white linen. Pomme de la Mer South Sea pendant from PP Hong Kong Live event. I just adore the shape and the color of this pearl, and the setting. 9mm Hanadama stud earrings from PP and bought at my last Ruckus. Large coin pearl ring from Kojima with incredibly thick nacre. 9.5 mm Tahitian pearl ring from Kamoka.

You know @BWeaves this is going back a post or two but I am loving your mismatched pistachio earrings! I feel like mismatched earrings is going to be a huge trend very soon. It took me a minute to get used to it but now I'm on board.

Back home and back to reality. My suitcase is exploding onto the floor. I need to get unpacked and a quick turnaround with what to pack for PBTB. Really looking forward to catching up with all the pearl friends!

Lary007, I love the baroques and the veggie necklace is especially delightful! It’s so fun and cheery. Did you save any of the beads for dangle earrings???

BWeaves, all your pics are so nice and airy! Pendants and earrings work so well for your climate. I am really enjoying seeing and reliving all the pieces from the past live events. Such special pearls!

A PP necklace from a long time ago- baroque blue Tahitians with a Monili clasp and a tiny Abalone pearl as the center. Pattye so graciously reknotted it for me. I was concerned about how the ends were constructed and was too chicken to take it apart myself. As it turns out, it is a perfectly easy construction, but I thank Pattye for being the brave one and taking photos for me along the way! 😅

Bienvenué Mon Amié @jeg !

Lots of pearls in the mail today.

My Mikimoto earrings are back!!! I cannot tell which is the old earring and which is the new earring, although my gut feeling (under magnification) is that the earring on the right is the old earring. Since we decided to remove the old pearl from the existing earring instead of trying to match it, I requested that the two new pearls be whiter and not so pink. The old pearl is in the middle. It has some ink on it, because they marked it. I'm thrilled with the new pearls, although I'm still mad at myself for losing one of the earrings. I'm actually happier with the "new" pair.

And my K-24 "Hisano's favorite Kasumi pearl" just arrived, and I'm torn. The problem is, it's almost the exact size, shape, color and texture as the pendant I bought from Sarah years ago. I toyed with the idea of doing a similar bail and wearing them as earrings, but I already have Kasumi earrings from Sarah.

I've photographed it with my only other Kasumi pearls from Kojima. It's in the middle. I think K-24 is a teensy bit larger and smoother than my pendant on the right. But in real life, my pendant is actually more colorful. But you can actually see INTO K-24 and the colors shift. The pearls are so close, they could be twins. So I've decided NOT to buy it, because it feels like a duplicate. I'm sending it back tomorrow. Sigh. It's really beautiful, though.

UPDATE: I changed my mind. I'm keeping it. It's just toooooo pretty. I'll see how Hisano thinks it should be mounted next week during our virtual meeting. Meanwhile, it's on its way back to PP for a setting.

Somebody put me on Ban Island and take away my credit card, please. I've bought way too many pearls this year, and the Baroque Akoya Live event is coming up. I'm doomed.

Today I want to wear my "half new" Mikimoto earrings. I think these will be forever known as my eclipse earrings from now on. Worn with my Judy Jetson necklace. Druzy quartz pendant with a freshwater button pearl on two gold cable chokers, one white gold and one yellow gold. It's so hard to capture how incredibly sparkly the druzy is. I can't remember the name of the man who made it, but I bought it at an art fair.

Oh this is gorgeous jeg!

Yes! I saved two beads that are different colors but otherwise basically the same for some dangle earrings. I'm waiting on the parts and pieces to come in!

Thanks, Douglas, BWeaves and CatMom! It’s always good to be home, even if the turn around is rather short this time. I got home just in time to take care of one of the big sinks backing up. Before I left, it was the car. 😟 There’s always something. The good news is, I found a good local plumber that I will use in the future.

One last glimpse from Paris. Wearing a pair of grey Akoya studs from Takahashi. In the second photo, Tahitian keshi necklace from Alex Collins, a tin cup I made with tiny T’s from Alex, and I made the bracelet with Tahitian keshi that dear CathyKeshi gave me from one of her projects.

JEG: Those pearls glow.

Visiting Dad today and layering up on the white pearls. Kojima South Sea, freshwater, and akoya keshi tin-cup. Natural White Hanadama rope from PP. The first rope of akoyas I bought myself in 1982. Coin pearl ring from Kojima. Mom's akoya ring, and freshwater bracelet. My Mikimoto yellow gold earrings. The lighting is terrible today. I can't get a good photo of anything.

Wow, everyone looks fabulous! Jeg … Paris, pearls, keshi ❣️ BWeaves thrilled you got the Miki earrings so quickly; the pearls are gorgeous 💕. We are jetlagged, disheveled and looking over Monterey Bay, after flying across the US yesterday :) Really looking forward to PBTB in a few days :)

OOOOO, they're going to livestream PBTB. I might get to sort of attend! Not the same as being there, though.

Lazy day. 100% Kamoka chested today. Sharkey pendant and black and white Tahitian studs. I'm really NOT into sharks, but this carved pearl was so cute that I couldn't resist it. Same with the shark's tooth in the Jurassic Time Traveler pendant (in my avatar).

Thanks BWeaves and Cathy! Cathy, watching those waves coming ashore is a relaxing way to get over your jet lag. Looking forward to catching up with you soon! BWeaves, I’m not too much of a shark person either, but that carving is more of a happy shark so it’s kind of dolphin-like and dolphins are my favorite sea creatures.;)

Blue Tahitian strand and studs from Alex Collins, and bracelets I knotted with tiny T’s also from Alex.

More earring jackets I made this morning with tiny T’s from Alex Collins. Worn on Tahitian keshi studs from Takahashi.
