My pearls

Blue, it's such a wonderful color that goes with everything. I included some silver tahitians as well since they have a slightly blue overtone.

Purple, I don't have that many really. But I do have some amazing ones in my rainbow strand and in my ombre tahitian rope. As well as in some earrings.

Thank you Gemandpearllover and nnguye20. The mismatched studs I got from Oceanscove a little more than a year ago. They have such sharp luster that you can accually see the other studs reflecting in some photos. I use those a lot. I have three pairs of studs from Oceanscove, they are all wonderfully lustrous, colorful and without flaws. nnguye20, the rainbow strand Wendy at Pearlescence made for me last september at Hongkong after I had an idea about such a strand. It is so much better than I could ever have imagined. Wendy did an amazing job. The other rainbow necklace I wirewrapped with some semi-precious gembriolettes and some silver blue akoyas. The briolettes I harvested from a necklace by a swedish designer that I bought on sale. They looked terrible on thet chain, the colors were not pleasingly placed. When I put the briolettes on the table trying to make something or them they sort of fell in a rainbow order, I thought something lacked in my design so I added the akoyas as well. It accually hangs very well when worn, mostly I use my pearl strands so the necklace is sadly neglected.

Today I redid a pair of earrings that I orignally got from Pearl Paradise, at the same time that I bought my dropshaped tahitian strand. That strand I then combined with another dropshaped strand. Anyway when I first got the earrings they dangled from shepard hooks. I bought them to match the strand. Well I added a pair of circled pearls to my shopping cart and the shepard hooks and asked them to color match them to the strand. That they did. What I didn't think about was that the strand was 8-11mm and dropshaped so they look bigger and the earring pearls being circled and fairly round and 8,5mm was rather smaller. This is what the earrings looked like before, well after changing out the shepard hooks for huggies that is...

This is what my dropshaped tahitian strand looks like.

I matched a pair of dropshaped tahitians from Druzydesign a long time ago for the strand.

The circled pearls are really pretty though and I thought that they would look better like studs.


They look great together with my rikitea strand from Cees.


I rather like baroque studs. Why are there not more of them. I really love my perfectly round studs like these ones from Oceanscove.

But isn't baroque pearls also beautiful. Like these blue south sea studs from Pearlescence, also a blue south sea pendant and my rainbow strand from Pearlescence.

And wouldn't a pair of baroque greenish akoya studs, like these pearls from Pearlescence, be really gorgeous?

It appears that I have a favorite combination when creating strands. Today I was takining photos of my new silver blue akoyas and baroque white south sea strand I made during the week and I realised that I have combined akoyas of all kinds with south sea pearls in a lot of strands. There is something special, I think, about that combination. The sharp luster of the akoyas with the satiny luster of the south sea pearls maybe. Or the pastelly colors of the akoyas combined with golden or white south sea pearls. It's like magic. My latest 24 inch strand.

The silver blue akoyas are from the 4 strands I bought from Pearlescence.



So pretty...


They look especially nice with white south sea earrings.

Some of my other south sea and akoya creations. I think that I have more at home, but I didn't bring all of them.


I really love these three wavestrands that I made with vintage graduated akoyas and south sea pearls from Cees and Kongspearl.

The luster on these 8mm deep golden south sea pearls from Cees are as sharp as akoyas. And the color is devine.



They have their own set of studs from Oceanscove.


The other wavestrand that I recently made with greenish golden south sea pearls from Kongspearl is rather special as well.


I usually wear this strand with either the green south sea studs from Pearlescence or the champagne golden south sea studs from Tahitipearldesigner.

The green akoya and baroque white south sea strand is one of my favorites as well.

They look beautiful with white south sea earrings.

The green south sea and blue akoya strand I usually combine with either the green or the champagne south sea studs.

They look really similar but the south sea pearls are quite different.

No just a golden south sea ripple rope, from Pearlescence.

It goes surprisingly well together with other pearls. Ombre tahitian rope from Cees and aubergine tahitian studs from Oceanscove.

Tiny blue tahitian Collins strand from Pearlescence and champagne enhancer from Pearlsociety.

Also champagne south sea studs from Tahitipearldesigner.

The only thing that favorite toy mouse has to fear...

Moving faster than the speed of light...toy mouse is that blurry grey spot at the lower right.

Last week I made the golden south sea ripple rope from Pearlescence endless. I like it even better now. And it nest perfectly with my ombre tahitian rope from Cees. The ombre rope is slightly longer. The golden shades of the ripple rope compliments most pearls, don't know why really but it does.

I wore the ripple rope and the ombre rope with my aubergine tahitian studs from Oceanscove for several days.

I wanted to wear the ropes with my peacock tahitian studs from Pearlescence but I was to lazy or maybe busy to get them from the jewelry box. They do have the most gorgeous sort of purply color.

I didn't know that I would get so much use out of these bumpy pearls or I would have bought them much earlier.
