My pearls

I also see that I forgot to post what earrings that I think goes well with my four colorful ropes. I think that either my green south sea studs from Pearlescence or my champagne south sea studs from Tahitipearldesigner goes well with these ropes. First the sunset rope. Pink freshwater earrings, like my drops from Pearllunar would go well with this strand, but I forgot to bring them with me.

The pink freshwater huggies. These might go with all of these ropes as well.

I have other ropes of my creations as well that I forgot to include yesterday. My black and white strand and bracelet, with white south sea pearls from Pearlescence and baroque tahitians from Cees.

It looks like I am making a ropey rainbow, haha. Missing some colors though. Then I also have my wavestrand and waverope made of a vintage double strand of akoyas and my former good deep golden south sea strand from Cees. I love these strands. The waves are so, I don't know, pleasing somehow. Especially when worn, cannot stop running my fingers along it. I would like to make more wave ropes, in other colors. But I don't have any graduated akoyas left, and none in other colors. Would be cool with purple akoyas. I remember Wendy posted some purple akoyas on her Instagram after she visited a farm in Vietnam. How cool would that be.

The studs are 7,5mm deep golden south sea studs from Oceanscove.

Those pink freshwater drops from Pearllunar are rather colorchanging as well. It's a pity his account on ebay haven't had any activity or item the last 6 months or so. I have bought lots of pearls from him in the past.

I was looking through my rather many, thousands really, pearl photos on my phone and found some photos of my light golden baroque south sea strand. Suddenly I miss it. I rearranged those pearls. I think that they are only in two strands, don't remember really. Maybe I can knot it back together. Now it looks like this.

It use to look like this... I remade it because I didn't use it that much. It's pretty though.

Sigh, I might have to try to rerearrange this one. Also I had a horrible night. There is a mouse problem at the summercabin, well not were the cats are of course, they lurk in the attic and under the kitchen sink. Yesterday we bought some new traps, and now we have caught 5 of them. The darling cats discovered how to open the doors to the kitchen sink cabinet during the night even though it was locked with two kitchen utensils. They then took traps, dead mice and sort of played with them. Not-husband hopped in and out of bed all night puttning the mice and traps outside, blocking the cabinet door with a chair and so forth. He was afraid the cats would hurt themselfs on the other traps, he also didn't want chewed pieces of mice in the bed. At 7 this morning I gave up, the darling cats also played a lot with their toys and had an over all grand night. This is a two pot espresso morning...

Couldn't resist remaking the circled light golden south sea strand, I did find all of the 31 pearls and I think that I got them in the right order. I had to cut apart 2 strands though, the light golden south sea and vintage akoya rope and my new sampler strand. It will be at least two weeks before I get any decent photos, so some windowsill photos.
_20200108_125359.jpg
I also merged the goldeny rope and the now leftover vintage akoyas. Whilst arranging the pile of graduated akoyas and the greenish golden south sea pearls I suddenly got an urge to make another wavestrand, sort of anyway. So I arranged the akoyas between the south sea pearls so that they form a wave pattern. I am rather pleased with the new greenish wavestrand. It had been easier had I not put all of the akoyas in a pile...

I must admit I have totally lost track of my own pearly creations. I think that I am all pleased with them and then inspiration strikes. Yesterday I reknotted the sampler strand, added some greenish golden south sea pearls instead of the circled ones, removed some pearls so that it's now 20 inches long.

One might think that I was done rearranging pearls, well one is wrong. I sort of got inspired to remake that green akoya and white south sea strand that I made last summer and then rearranged again. Such a pretty combination. And I rather wonder how that single purple edison pearls would look with my silver blue akoyas...
I am also waiting for the clock to turn 15, that's when the postoffice reopens and I can go get my new golden south sea ripples, yay

My new golden south sea ripples are beautiful, but the lack of decent light makes every attempt at capturing their crinkly gloriness a failure. I have tried and even the portable lightbox cannot make the pearls look like they do in real life. The hardship of winter and no light. It will be at least a week until I can take proper photos. I I have so many projects to show you. The ones I showed you yesterday I have to rephoto, the light bleached out the colors. So both the circled light golden south sea strand and the greenish wavestrand turned out really well. Then I did make a silver blue akoya strand with one center purple edison. That one is really pretty as well and also layers well. Then I did rearrange my green akoyas, the photos from August last year looked so pretty. Here are the strand in August.

I did change it up a bit, since it needed something in August or I wouldn't have remade it after that. So I used a pattern of two green akoya pearls, a smaller white south sea pearl and one bigger baroque white south sea pearl. It looks really pretty now, sadly the photos of it aren't that great. Now I have pearls in little piles on beading boards on a kitchen counter. A bunch of small white south sea pearls, two sizes of really small ivory freshwater pearls, the rest of the huge freshwater ripples, metallic peach, copper and apricot off round freshwaters, small rose lavender freshwater pearls and that strand of really dark tahitians. For remaking the circled light golden south sea strand I had to cut apart two strands, and then the cutting continued... But it was fun, except for the lack of light...

Here is one of the crappy photos of the green akoyas and white south sea strand. Yep, the same pearls, but somehow the lightbox makes them slightly blurry or rather less sharp.

The bigger south sea pearls makes it more interesting I think.

The golden pearls on all three strands are rather different, but they look like the same color here.

Thank you Pattye. There is only light here for some hours each day. I long for lighter days. Can't wait for spring, and daffodils.

Your golden ripples are gorgeous, Charlotta. They will go very nicely with daffodils!

Thank you Marianne, the ripples will go nicely with daffodil, such happy flowers.

I love all your new creations Charlotta. The SS ripples look like they are dipped in pure gold- gorgeous!

Thank you Gemandpearlover, the ripples are delicious. I got tired of this uncommonly warm, rainy and windy january and tried to make some better pearllight with a desklamp, a pillowcase and the hairband I was currently wearing. It worked better than my portable lightbox, however wrapping a pillowcase around a lamp and securing it with a hairband might not be the safest thing... This is my current wiew.

Try to get any decent photos in that kind of light... New ripple strand, the colors still looks a bit washed out. Hopefully next weekend I can get some real photos.

I knotted this one with Beaders secret in aqua. It's such a great match for the pearls and not to obvious.

Smaller kitten says hi. She just wants to tell everyone everywhere what an awful horrible evening she had two nights ago. Me and not-husband tried to cheer the cats up, put some cute kittens on Youtube on for them. Older kitten didn't mind, but smaller kitten got so scared. There is a monster, rather dangerous she said... IN OUR HOME, it meows and everything. She had to hide behind the couch... We quickly removed said monster. Smaller kitten kept looking for monsters all night, behind bigger kitten, best the monster eats her first, kitten says. To horrible.

Early morning light.

Best she says to stay close, if the monsters return.

The kitten is adorable of course (the color of my first kitty!). The pearls are lovely. But honestly, it might just be the SUNSHINE daffodils that get me through this dark and dreary Pennsylvania weather! Thanks :)

Thank you CathyKeshi, I am always happy to brighten your day. The weather is awful here as well.

Thank you Katbran, today a snowdrop bud opened and some winter aconites have buds as well. Yay.

Very cool new ripple strand with pleasing shapes, Charlotta. And adorable kitty! Can’t wait for all the spring flowers. Tired of winter already...
