My pearls

Thank you lisa c, I tried to get some early morning photos of the strands today. I will take some better this next weekend. First the goldeny rope.

Then the sunset rope.
_20200101_095728.jpg
Then Both of them together.
_20200101_095647.jpg
Then the goldeny rope with kitten helper. She looks adorable of course but just minuters before she took one paw and flung out some earth from a potted plant just because she could. She didn't play with the earth or anything.

The pearls looks different in real life a bit more harmonious. And I am thinking that maybe I need some more gold midsize freshwater pearls for my goldeny strand, but when I look at them in another light they look fine. The only yellowish midsized pearl I have is in my triple vintage akoya strand...

I tried puttning the goldeny strand next to a bunch of other pearls. The vintage golden triple akoya strand.

My +100 inches freshwater strand, this is suppose to be white, but have a peachy tone to them.
_20200101_114235.jpg
My green akoya and green tahitian strand. Don't want to cut this one up. It looks great on as it is or layered with my rainbow strand. The green akoyas in this one is lovely. I hope Wendy gets more pearls like this. Also, the green akoyas are a little big for the goldeny rope.

I got some better photos when it was less dark outsider. Now the colors look more right. Sunset rope.
_20200101_120138.jpg
_20200101_120313.jpg
As you can see, I used the more pastelly ripples from the huge freshwater ripples strand.
_20200101_120159.jpg
The leftover huge ripples. I haven't decided what to do with the leftover ripples yet.
_20200101_120258.jpg
Now the goldeny rope looks rather pretty. There is a bracelet attatched to this one so that I can alter the lenght of the strand.
_20200101_120446.jpg
I used Beaders secret in rose on the sunset rope and ivory on the goldeny rope. I didn't knot between the tiny pearls, only next to the bigger pearls, on each side. The tiny pearls looked better without knots between them.m

I forgot to post some photos of what the green akoyas really look like.
_20200101_115659.jpg
This is the best photo of them even though I don't have the pearls like this anymore. I found that it didn't have enough contrast.

Ooh, I love the sunset rope! What a great use of the giant ripples.

Oh, I love them all. My favorite pearls have definitely shifted from white to very colorful.

Thank you SydK and Bweaves, I really like how the sunset rope turned out as well, so colorful. Colorful pearls are my weakness.

Beautiful gold and sunset necklaces Charlotta. I love them like I do all your pieces. The green Akoyas are so pretty and interesting with their colorful overtones and baroque shapes.

Thank you Gemandpearllover, the green akoyas are really pretty and the overtones amazing. Imagine a rope of these akoyas, maybe slightly bigger. These ones are 7-8 mm, so not small. 8-9 mm would be a nice size.

Charlotta, they are all beautiful ! The pictures show the lovely luster. That sunset rope, really caught my eye

Those new necklaces are like Dawn and Dusk :) Both are lovely; I'm especially fond of the Dawn golden colors one ... well done, Charlotta!

Thank you CathyKeshi, you are exactly right. They look like dusk and dawn. Usually I get inspired by some colorcombination and then I try to create something with pearls that evokes the same feeling. I remember watching a very pastelly and soft sunset last summer that I tried to make into a rope. I could as easily have made a quilt (but it takes so long and I have so many ideas) or a flowerbed. I usually gets inspired to create a flowerbed from some colorcombination, it doesn't always turn out exactly as I want, the flowers doesn't always Bloom when they are suppose to. I had not-husband to dig up a long flowerbed, that stretches the entire side of our house, because I wanted to make a pink, blue and purple rose and geranium flower bed. I have pink, pale pink, white and purple roses with blue and pink geraniums. It's not orderly, morelike an impressionist painting with the colors flowing into each other. In the spring, before the roses and geraniums, I have a strongly colored tulip and daffodil flowerbed in yellow, orange, green, red and purple. I made an effort to find oddly looking daffodil and I do have some funny looking ones. Later the geraniums cover all traces of the bulbs. So my sunset rope is like an impressionist painting but with pearls. Impressionist art are my favorite kind.
Sadly my new golden south sea ripple rope is still in the clutches of the swedish postal service, might they still be hung over from new year? The postal service that is, not the pearls.

Thank you Katbran. Well I wear pearls everyday, but some do get more use than the others. The pearls are rarely new, I rearrange a lot. In the sunset rope I used ripple pearls from a strand from Kongspearl I only used one time (because I didn't like them, to big), rose lavender small freshwaters from Pearllunar that I made to use as a long chain. However I usually use my ivory long and short strand for that, so I didn't use that one either. I have a smaller rose lavender strand left. I also bought some peach, apricot and copper off round freshwater strands from Pearllunar maybe 5-6 years ago. That color alone don't go so well with my complexion, so I use them whenever I want some peachy orange tones in a strand. And the greenish south sea pearls from Kongspearl, I bought two strands one was suppose to be champagne, I use in everything (not really but in rather many strands). So for making the sunset rope I took apart 4 strands, so I don't have that many. Living a month away from pearl other than from Pearlescence, those usually arrive in a week or two, don't make pearlbuying something that I do for creating something from sn idea. Usually I look at what I have first and then decide if I use it enough to let it stay as is. Some pearls I wouldn't dream of rearranging, like my rainbow strand, the rikiteas, the blue tahitians, my big multicolor tahitian strand, my white south sea strand, my silver tahitians and my new golden south sea strand. Those ones I treasure just the way they are.

Some better photos of my creations. First the goldeny strand made with greenish golden south sea pearls from Kongspearl, tiny ivory freshwater and pale peach freshwater pearls from Pearllunar. The bracelet makes the piece rather versatile. It adds lenght to the strand if I want to.

Then the sunset rope made with huge freshwater ripples from Kongspearl, rose lavender freshwaters from Pearlunar, metallic peachy copper freshwaters from Pearlunar and some greenish golden south sea pearls from Kongspearl. I love these colors together.

And when I add some of my other mixed rope creations. Golden rope made of baroque light golden south sea pearls and a vintage double akoya strand.
_20200104_162905.jpg
And my blue akoyas from Pearlescence and greenish golden south sea pearls from Kongspearl. Such pretty colors.
_20200104_162948.jpg
_20200104_162932.jpg
And what to we have then? Well a big pile of rather colorful pearls.

The blue and greenish one look especially good with the sunset rope.

I have used those greenish golden south sea pearls quite a lot.
_20200104_161606.jpg
It's in all these strands, vintage graduated akoyas and some greenish south sea pearls, goldeny rope, sunset rope and blue and green rope. I have used those pearls in the longer sampler strand as well.

I see now that there is a shortage of a purply rope. Some blue akoyas and purple edisons or ming pearls or whatever Wendy can find in Hongkong in february. Unless I have some other more pressing design ideas that is.
