Hong Kong

I did bump into Pierre and Jacques Christophe Branellec of jewelmer at the show. Jacques was wearing a small gold-lip keshi in his ear as a stud. It's a good look - better than a diamond.

Jacques has been doing a lot of work on Twitter and Facebook promoting pearl education and asked if we would mind if Jewelmer joined the Pearl-Guide forum. He has been wanting to but wanted to check with me first. Of course I extended and invite and said we'd love to have them!

Jewelmer? That's cool!

I wrote a post yesterday and I must not have submitted it. If he is the one responsible for the P Maxima plates, I thank him!

I nsam indeed still here - its tyhe last day and I rea\lised that there are a few bits of findings I still could try to find (and one findings seller to glower at, eh Nerida?)
It has been a truely amazing week from setting off to tottering off the plane (`18 hour trip) and being met by Jeremy, Mikeyy and Neridsa. In spite of all being really tired we had a great hour or so before falling asleep at the bar - not a good look
The fair is enormous. I do have a couple of photos, taken iwth permission at stands, including one of me communing with some 12-13 coloured metallic undrilled single rounds which I have selected out for what will be an amazing necklace.
I had chinese for breakfast today (in the same caff Nerida) bowl of noodles and sliced beef with a side of omelette.

Hi, I have been back home for a few days now, awaiting the box from Fedex that has all my goodies. Wendy and I managed to miss each other on my last day at the fair, but I trust she had an erstwhile glare at a certain seller on my behalf yesterday, and I also just wanted to add that we did all have a great time!
For those who are thinking of going sometime - it is definitely the place to see all you ever wanted to see plus all you couldn't imagine all in one place. It is huge - tiring, challenging, but fun. Wendy does seem to have managed to succumb completely to the 'just one more thing' bug that infects us all at the fair! Hope you manage to get it all home, Wendy!

Oh yes, I did some very good glowering..stopped him in his tracks!
I went to Shenzen yesterday and throwing mainland Chinese currency into the mix - well in the end my brain has ended up as exchange soup!
I am just sorting out the shipping of my stash now.
