but all of a suddain, I felt too shy to

And I am trying to present pictures that haven't been presented before.

This is from the 17th century, part of a so called "Cheapside Hoard" hidden in a house in the city of London around 1640 discovered in 1912.
But no more specifications on this curious and odd pair of ornament with "extra stuff"
...
very unique indeed...

I fully agree with you that they are in the oriental style.
t's enamelled gold, ruby and pearl earrings, Italian, mid 18th century.
influenced by the orient, sure they are ...

They are portuguese, 18th century, enamelled gold and pearls with original fittings.
Pearls still hold the luster !

I have no idea but as they are so elegant my guess would be French but most definitly European.

It might be italian, the museum info was "? "
mid-18th century.
Diamonds in silver and gold foliate settings, with 4 pendant diamonds and 2 pendant pearls.
Did you see this elegant curving movement, so delicate !

I love the blister pearl pin. LOVE IT!

The pin with the plume--2 pearls and diamonds, very lovely!

And the earrings, emerald, ruby and pearl? Fabulous! Even the little shell shape in the gold work is copied today and mass produced on a leverback style I use!

Like Blaire, I adore the blister pin, perhaps it should be vertical instead of horizontal, that appears to be a very familiar wetland plant known as "cat tail" or bull rush--native peoples used for food, wove with its leaves--and is mentioned in the Bible----


Are these found everywhere in the world?
