Oh those are really pretty! (still have this image of you as a refrigerator magnet though…. :) )

What lovely and fun bracelets Pattye! My guess is that you will be wearing a huge smile every time you have these on! Enjoy!

I didn't get how large until I saw the wrist-shot! Great pearls! Did you make any knots in the elastic?

Yay for the bracelets and double yay for the wrist shots! I am "prodding" you into more selfies!

Marianne, too funny! And thanks!!

LitGeek, Thank you, they "klonk" together nicely, too! Fun to twiddle with, not to stretch like a rubber band!

GemGeek, Only knots are the ones to finish the bracelets. Had to look up how to make a surgeons knot. Seems to be holding so far.

Thanks, Wendy! Lots of pretty blue-purple shades and some of the best greens I've seen!

BAS, You are so funny! A wrist selfie is doable! Just stuck my hand in the light box! I'll keep working on the neck & ear selfies. Thanks!!

Wow Pattye, these are fabulous! So happy to finally see them. I especially like the mixed color bracelet- the colors will go well with any outfit and make it more unique! The colors especially on that upper middle pearl in the wrist shot (and I spy a belly button on its neighbor, lol)!
It is really good to know about your process in making them, we can all learn a lot from the things that didn't quite work out to know what to keep in mind for when we want to make our own.

Oh I love these! I love the giant ringed pearls too, and the colors on the black ones are so pretty! I just made some more stretch bracelets myself...I love the ease of wearing them. Like you I have found that doing the clasps yourself on bracelets is not always so easy (I often have my daughter help), with stretch bracelets no worries about that! Enjoy your new klonkers! :)

They are absolutely lovely, they really glow on your skin, the perfect colour palate for you!

I find putting on bracelets is frequently an exercise which would make a sailor blush at the swearing - so I get my dearly beloved to do them instead.

Khanzy, thank you, I thought you might like to see these! Working with the large size definitely has disadvantages. Smaller bracelets are easier to put on, less likely to roll the clasp to the top.

Melissa, yes, we both like ringed pearls, including a white ringed pearl necklace I enjoy wearing, and I thought would be fun with the bracelets.

Amanda, Fun to wear, having a helper would be great! Thanks for the compliment!

Well, long time between posts, but something fun to show you now. These silver-blue South Sea pearls were purchased about 10 years ago when I was a new member here. They are from Carolyn Ehret, originally spaced with tiny 22k spacers and strung on waxed linen. Wore them once, realized they were too short, set them aside. Seeing all the gorgeous baroque blue akoya, keep reminding me these needed restringing. My goal was to have them ready for Ruckus this year. As I started cutting them apart, many pearls were noticeably lighter weight than normal, so I stuck a straight pin through each as I removed the thread, the stringing channel might "disappear." I had wanted to use some complimentary blueish keshi instead of the gold spacers, but none were large enough, so Kamoka keshi I had on hand add a beautiful, unique contrast. Strung on Beader's Secret thread, of course! ;)

The pearls are from center approx 16 by 17mm to smallest 11.5 by 13mm. This photo in the light box.

Very beautiful, Pattye ... oh, to have "Kamoka keshi on hand" sigh :)

Beautiful combination of outstanding pearls. I hope you can wear them a lot now. :)

I actually like the yellow gold clasp. The white would have just blended in. The yg is a nice contrast to the dark keshis.
