365 Days of Pearls

I never tire seeing all your necklaces and stacking combos!

Thank you, BAS, BWeaves, Katbran, JerseyPearl, SunSeeker, lary, Amti, and Jeremy!

Day 333:

I bought 3 hanks of 6mm cream (metallic?)freshwaters from Pearl Paradise years ago thinking I’d make a triple, a double, or a single short necklace and a rope. My how time flies! Now that I can string, I finally decided to go forward with the shorter necklace and will eventually pick up some sort of bead to add interest and length to the remaining 2 hanks so it can be worn as a rope. Also took advantage of the PP Mother’s Day sale to pick up two small white gold orbit clasps for this project : )

Im really happy with the shorter strand! I’ll measure it but I think it’s 15 1/2 inches or so.

Group pic of everything I grabbed to put together.

And here’s the shorter strand on its own.

And paired with a tiny freshwater necklace I bought from little h.

And finally with a Tahitian Keshi pendant from Kojima Pearl and freshwater Keshi dangles also from Kojima Pearl.

Oh I like this combo. So simple, yet elegant and versatile! I have a weakness for keshi and that one is huge and yummy!

The tiny freshwater ... that one is extra special! It was one of five made for one of her editorial events, as a favor by friend in Hong Kong!

I thought the tiny ones were akoyas, at first sight)) lovely combination! and no worries - I think we all have projects sitting around for years sometimes :D :D

Love this combination with the darkened silver, the keshi, and the tiny freshwaters (I thought they were akoyas as well). So sweet!

I don't know what it is about the combo of tiny and larger pearl strands together like that but it just looks cool. Totally dig it.

I remember Hisano saying it was special and it is indeed— perfect little round pearls!

I’ve wanted one of these since BAS got one to wear her little h geode on. It’s just the right piece for pendants, layering or on its own:cool:

Thank you, BWeaves, amti, Katbran, Cathy, Jeremy, Sanippy, Lugana, SunSeeker, and lary!

Day 334:

I was so excited when the spring sale at Kojima Pearl began! My plan was to buy one item... and then the layering possibilities began marching by. Here is what I ended up with:eek:

Thank you, pattye!

Lastly, I asked Sarah if she could make another necklace like my feather pearl necklace, but shorter and with pink, blue and gold tones. It’s 17” and made up of tiny dyed silver freshwater pearls, Tahitian and freshwater Keshi, gold filled beads and a metallic white soufflé as the center pearl. I love it!

Here are my pics of it with the golden South Sea and Tahitian Keshi dangles (earrings with the 2 pearls), and the Tahitian and freshwater Keshi dangles (earrings with the 3 pearls).

Wow, I really don't know what I like best. The eyes are happy and hopping all around.

The new necklace is just lovely and delightful. And I'm really liking the GSS earrings!

Wear them all in the best of health, dear baby nurse!!!
