365 Days of Pearls

Thank you, BAS, Andrew, Luvglitz, and 86CG! I had to hunt for the original post on these to find the size. They’re 11.1-14.8mm. The other gss is smaller, lighter in color but nicer luster and overtones.

Those are my all time favorite goldens. They have more other colors in them than any other goldens I've seen. They look amazing with the abalone shards. The shards pick up the green overtones in the goldens.

Day 348:

Here is my first purchase from Kojima Pearl! I bought 2 of Sarah’s “Perfect Pearl Chains”. They are 36” long and made up of 3mm white freshwater pearls— love ‘em! Technically I only have one at the moment, but I bought a second .

Wore a Golay South Sea pendant on the new tiny fwp rope and layered it with the waterfall necklace from Kojima Pearl. Tiny blue baroque akoya studs are from little h.

I took this picture a week ago when I first received the rope of tinies. This is a special pic with my favorite hen, Hilda, named after the chicken in my son’s 4th grade book “Hilda the Hen Who Never Gave Up”.

I posted pictures of Hilda a year ago when she had surgery on one of her feet. We treated that foot for 3 months and I had to buy newborn socks to protect the wound. When I bought the socks, the cashier at Walmart was oohing and aahing over them. “They’re so tiny!”, he said. Me: “Yes. They are for my chicken.” Lots of raised eyebrows from the cashier and people in line lol.

The foot completely recovered.

BAS, yes, the white barpque akoyas are my favorite white pearls ... I could stare at their depth and overtones for hours Reading everything here, but not a lot of commenting etc. as I’m tech challenged till after the holidays, and find having only the smartphone to be frustrating. Thank goodness for pearl friends
