365 Days of Pearls

Love your keshi necklace to begin with but love how it looks with the darker T's. Wonderful combination!

And those metallic earrings are spectacular!! I want to get some metallics but as soon as I find something I like, it's sold out. One day, one day!

86CG, the tiny Keshi ropes have been worth their weight in gold. They go with everything.

And I hear you on the metallics. When they become available you have to move so quickly or they’re gone.

BN, you are so right about those keshi. They look amazing with everything I've seen you pair it with. It's such a versatile necklace!

Thanks, 86CG. I don’t know how many times I’ve put it down and reached for something else so that other pieces would get a chance to be worn!

I have a Tahitian tin cup very similar to one BWeaves has and it’s extremely versatile, too. But I haven’t seen it in over 6 months and am really starting to worry it’s lost!

Day 350:

White baroque akoya necklaces and metallic white freshwater studs from Pearl Paradise.

The one on the left has strong pink overtones, one on the right is more cream. The pink has slightly better luster but on the neck I prefer the cream. It’s odd, but to my eye the pink one almost has transparent edges, maybe due to the luster? I see each whole pearl better on the cream strand, to me it has a stronger presence.

Not nesting well because they need to be restrung.

Thank you, 86CG and Andrew!

86CG, they're 9.5-10mm, purchased during PP's May special a few years ago. I bought a 3rd during the VIP sale because when it comes to pearls, I'm color sensitive and the fact that these 2 are different colors bothers me. It didn't bother me at first but tastes can evolve with time. So the 3rd strand will hopefully be a match for one of these two and if it isn't, I'll blend them and wear them as a rope. Maybe with a tassel a la Purranha!

baby nurse, I can clearly see the color difference in your side-by-side shots. But not on your neck! You do you. But they look glorious to me as is. I've always been sorry to have missed out on that batch of baroque akoya. CathyKeshi, if you're reading. You know. The double you wore that blinded me that year at the Ruckus...glowing orbs of light...

Thanks, Andrew! Sometimes they look better in their box and other times they just come alive when worn.

86CG, I agree. I’m completely seduced by the luster and orient of akoya.

Thanks, Katbran and lary!

Those are gorgeous. And huge! What's the mm? I love the greens and rose! You could fall into those pearls....

I'm usually not a huge fan of goldens, but those look awesome! And the dangles look a lot like chili peppers to me. How cool is that.

Good choice for today! :)

My favorite pearls besides your Easter egg Tahitians. A wonderful look, BN.

Gorgeous Goldens, BN!! I love the color & the luster...just amazing. Yes, please share the mm size. I love how the HB earrings look with GSS. I'll have to give it a try with mine.
