What would you do with 2nd pearl?

Yup!!!

For those readers who don't know, hamataschen are the triangular pastries filled with prune or poppy seed filling that are served during the Jewish holiday of Purim. Purim celebrates the story of Esther, and is a fun holiday as opposed to a more serious holy day. And it was yesterday, 23-Mar-2016, this year.

BWeaves, how is that sort of chain called? I'm getting a diamond set as pendant and I like the look of a more "rigid" (for lack of a better word, excuse my poor English) chain.

This particular chain is a solid gold cable. It's several solid wires twisted together. My jeweler has cable necklaces in several widths and different lengths, and different colors of gold (white, yellow and rose).

I also have some larger chains from her that are knitted tubes, and they are a little more flexible than the cables, but much thicker in width.

The clasp on both is the same. You push the male end into the female end gently, and twist, and it locks in place. I think there's a little spring inside to push against. But you sort of have to rotate the ends until you find the spot which will let you push them together.

Thanks BWeaves! As soon as I get my pendant made I will investigate.

UPDATE! I had my jeweler add two more loops so the Hamantaschen glides on the cable instead of wobbling.

The metal is palladium.

With my natural white Hanadamas from PP, and my Mikimoto white gold huggies.

Looks glorious BWeaves, especially with the hanadamas!

Jersey Pearl: Yes, I took that as a compliment. Original Star Trek is my favorite flavor of Star Trek, and Lt. Uhura was my favorite character, too.

I love the story that Nichelle Nichols told about wanting to leave Star Trek after the first year, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. talking her into staying in the role, because she was the ultimate role model.

You have to click on this link and look at her necklace, hehehehe.

Nice, does it stay in place now?

All these Star Trek comments... maybe I can convince my DH to finance more pearls if they resemble something Star Trek related.... hummm

It can slide, but it actually does stay centered. It doesn't tip to the side now.

Her jewelry is FANTASTIC in that clip. On so many levels, Star Trek was groundbreaking.

looks great, BWeaves!! and Uhura is my fave, both as played by Nichelle Nichols in TOS and as revived by Zoe Saldana (she is super bada$$ in the second movie!).
