Something you don't see every day

I agree. That's The Ruling! Adeline speaks with authority, must.... be.... obeyed....

Yeeeessssss...I....will...obey..Adeline....
It'll be fun!

Adeline and Lisa,

I am determined to attend a Ruckus, and am hoping to make the one in 2016, as I already have planned my holidays up to 2015!

DK :D

My Goodness! Imagine making a plan that far ahead and keeping to it. Marvelous, I say! Respect.

My camping trip to Scotland later this month was planned 7 years ago back in 2005 when it was announced the Olympics will be held in London in 2012!

:D

I have my holidays planned up until..... not at all. Adam and I both have 10 days booked out of work at the end of August, but not yet a plan about where to go or what to do.

I finally found this thread again!

Those who went to the ruckus know who got it!

ME!!!!

I decided I wanted a big, strong bale on it and have a 10 carat gold chain that is the exact same shade as the metallic look in the pearl.Since I got it, I have worn it every single day. I think I will do so for the foreseeable future. It is the most magnificent pearl I have ever held in my hand. I love the color, which is probably processed. If not, watch out Tahitians!

I will try to get a phot of me wearing it.

Thank you Jeremy and Hisano. Thanks for picking something I am so crazy about!!!!!

I really don't know. I guess I could cut it in half... ;)

SHRIEK!!!!!!!! That's on par with Douglas melting his SofC pearls in bleach.

Now, Boys, we must NOT take such impulses to fruition. We must NOT torture the Readers of PG. (mutter, mutter...this is what comes of combining small boys with tools and chemistry sets...mutter, mutter)
Oh, I'm mortified that I made such a blatantly oldfashioned, stereotypically sexist remark. Sorry boys, :-(

Caitlin, lovely, lovely...

Ok, Caitlin - Time's up!;) I must see the results. Hopefully, it'll be something like your Strawberry pearl bail?

Seriously, what looks good with perfect drops? I'm so crazy about teardrop pearls that I balk at covering up even a millimeter, but I'm getting feedback that others want embellishment. What looks good?

Reggie took a picture of me wearing it today. As soon as he emails it to me, I'll put it up.

Wait. I totally forgot. Angela took these two-

Thanks! I agree! the tiny ones are silver blue akoya keshi. I love then! I have more than that and I'm making a series of necklaces of different lengths. I'm almost done and I'll put it up, too. All my old ropes are going to new homes. (maybe not ALL) This is the rope combo of a lifetime. And as I am a bit short in years, maybe only about 40 left, I'll need to wear them often!

I no longer have room for most of my old bead quality beads! I have such a beautiful collection from Jeremy and Hisano, I don't want to wear most of the ones I had before I found this place. Since I found it, I am so happy to acquire lovely pearls from Josh, Douglas, Pattye, Anna, Sarah and others. That doesn't leave much room, or time to wear, the old freshwater collection. ...

I'm so happy that you are rich in pearls, Caitlin. You deserve them!

Congratulations Caitlin! That is truly one special pearl :D
and I have to say I even like the "texture" it displays on the photos. I don't like it when pearls look "glassy" and this one truly has character.
