Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

Happy weekend, all - I'm currently having pearl-palpitations drooling over all the breathtaking pearly pieces posted this past week ☺️

@BWeaves CONGRATULATIONS on your new grand-niece!!!! And your new pendant is spectacular - I can't get over the colors of The Divine Sarah!

@Celonmaril Thank you for your kind words! I sometimes buy directly from the SOC online store but more frequently from druzy designs.

@jeg Too many beauties to comment, but I especially love your SOC keshi necklace, it is just such a special piece!!! And the size of your Takahashi akoyas, wowza - That strand is amazing.

@Purranha Your SOC pieces are beautiful!

@lary007 WOW, your ring is gorgeous! I would be staring at that all day at work, too! Love your new SOC pearls, too.

@CathyKeshi I can't wait to see how you set your new SOC pearls! Your necklace is stunning.

@CatMom Your Rikiteas are lovely!!!

Yesterday's GSS (worn with an extender) from Pearl Paradise around sunset time...

Thank you! These are beautiful goldens.

Thank you, BWeaves, CatMom and SurfnSci. CatMom, the sun comes and goes. Yesterday was dreary drizzly, Today is gorgeous again.

You know my philosophy- it all works, BWeaves! Lovely layers for your house lounging.

SurfnSci, your goldens are so pretty and gorgeous on you! Goldens were in my rotation, too!

Champagne golden SS’s from PP, golden Akoya from Takahashi, a tin cup I made with vintage Akoya from Fuji at Pacific Pearls.US, and an “I love being a pearl” golden SS pendant from Kojima.

And in honor of Enrique, Manuel, Douglas y Las Perlas del Mar de Cortez, one from the archives. My beloved SOC keshi necklace with tiny diamonds, crafted with genius by our dear Sarah at Kojima. Many of you have seen this in person but I couldn't resist reposting :)
I love this one!

Slouching around the house again in a green waffle pullover. Kamoka earrings on 18K Bali settings. The Devine Sarah from Kojima with an 18K bail, hung on a little h chain. THIS PEARL. I mean . . . This pearl has the thickest nacre I've ever seen. It's like you can look INTO it. The surface appears to float when I try to stare at it.View attachment 468601View attachment 468602
That drop pearl is DIVINE!

Gorgeous! I'm wondering, would you be able to take a picture of your extender, please? I'm curious what you use for the ball clasps. TY!

I went with the "more is more" tahitian look today. Rope of baroque circled tahitians that I assembled from a few lots from wenpearls on etsy, my category killer pendant from Jac, my first tahitian (still favorite) strand of baroques from PP, and finally a pair of green studs also from Jac.

Also, I'll take pictures of the new SoC babies I got today once I get home! Eek!

My pictures do no justice! I almost think I may just collect some more of these baroque SoC pearls and eventually make a tin cup bracelet or maybe a necklace. The one on the left has a lot of pink overtones in person and the one on the left is greenish blue. Really unlike any other pearls I have.

I think the mabe is destined for a ring. I think I lean towards rose gold to bring out the pink even more!

Your new SOC are beautiful, lary007! I find it difficult to capture SOC pearls in pics. The mabes can light up, but the pearls are finicky about lighting. When you were asking about ring settings, I searched way back for a pic of a ring “Red” had made with a SOC mabe. She has such a unique pearl collection because she’s had many of her pieces designed just for a specific pearl, but I couldn’t find one. I’ll contact her to see if she can post a pic of that rainbow mabe with a gemstone setting.

Thank you for the ping, jeg! I've been away from the pearl porn for way too long. I found some pictures of my SoC mabe ring. It was set in 18kt yellow gold with green tsavorite garnets by a local jeweler T Lee.

Here are some photos from Paris back in May of 2018.

And, of course, showing it to wonderful pearl farmer that I purchased it from. I'm pretty sure I was checking out the SoC keshi here.

The bracelet I'm wearing in the last two photos is SoC interspersed with tiny natural white SoC hinge pearls. This is the bracelet that I mentioned during the live webcast that glowed reddish pink under the lights at the baseball park. I think the electric heating lamps (aka "people warmers") emit enough UV radiation to set them off. I plan to wear the bracelet to a chilly ball game this spring and see if I can get some photos.

What a soft, warm glow they give off.
