Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

Today it's pearls & turquoise. Some of my NA jewelry with a few pearls. It's really too hot & humid to wear much.

I don't know how to do the @ thing y'all are doing but everyone's pearls are gorgeous! Eolian, your SOC pendant is beautiful & looks fabulous with your T's.
Red, gorgeous bracelet & grandson.
Jeg, those Riki pearls are spectacular. Love the colors!

Thank you everyone for your nice comments! I have been wearing the SoC necklace for two days now, another pic for you, it truly has a beautiful rainbowy golden glow that is hard to capture but I will keep on trying...

SurfnSci I love the tincup you made for your Mom! Such a lovely piece, she will surely be thrilled!

Jeg happy to see Rikiteas again! Such a special necklace! And the CMW pearls are holding their own against the Rikiteas which is a great feat! Beautiful beautiful combination!

86C wonderful to see your pearls and NA jewelry! They fitso well together! I dont know how to do the @thing either! I tried everything but cant find it...Please please someone let us know the secret to this...

86Corvettegirl WOWZA, I love your dreamy turquoise, pearl and silver pairings. Such lovely NA jewelry!

eolian pearls Thank you so much! Your SoC pendant is just sooo gorgeous!!! I love seeing it, and it looks amazing with the pink of your wrap.

To directly tag someone, you should be able to type "@name" (for example @eolianp...) and then a little box will pop up as you type where you can select the full screen name to make a live link/tag...Admittedly, sometimes it's finicky for me, especially if I am trying to include more than one name, so you may have to erase it then try again slowly to re-type it (I'm not sure if anyone else has that problem or if it's just me!).

Eolian Pearls, your new birthday pearls are lovely and that photo of you in white, pink, and that SOC mabe is showstopping ... so beautiful! Is that an Oceans Cove piece? Just gorgeous on you :)

Pretty rikiteas jeg. I also like to use strands as bracelets sometimes, when I get the lenght correct. It's really difficult to figure out if I mix sizes of the pearls...tryal and error mostly. I mean I have one 25 inches long strand with very different sizes that's perfect for a triple bracelet, then I just made a 22 inches long keshistrand that's also perfect as a triple bracelet....
86Corvettegirl turquoise and pearls look great together and I do really like your na jewelry
eolian pearls the soc necklace really is dreamy

Thank you, Douglas, SurfnSci, 86C, Charlotta, and eolian! 86C, your color combinations give you a cool summer look in that heat. Love that SOC mabe, eolian! So pretty on it’s own, and also a great layering piece.

A friend of mine had two graduated strands that were her mother’s. I am re-knotting the Akoya strand, but she also had a faux strand she wore a lot because she didn’t want to wear her good pearls. I remade the faux pearls into tin cups. I took some hasty snapshots before giving them to her so they are kind of blurry-

Wow! This re-take on the tin-cup is really nice! Only wish these were actual pearls, but your work is great!

SurfnSci Thank you for your kind words and the tagging tutorial! Will go on a little spree now :)

CathyKeshi Thank you for your sweet words! Yes the SoC is Sarah of Ocean Cove’s creation! I am overjpyed to have it! Changes the colors all day long and every change is magical!

Charlotta thank you! Yes dreamy is the right word!

jeg Beautiful tin cups! Your wire wrapping and design skills are amazing! Still think you should open an Etsy shop...just sayin...

Posting a true “in -action” pic:) of my rainbow leather necklace...

Way to go eolian pearls :arms:
Give those pearls some surf and turf! Looks great!

Thank you Douglas! I absolutely love wearing my pearls in the sea, feel like I am taking them for a home visit:)

Today I restrung the new Tahitian necklace I got from Julia of Oceans Rhyme on Etsy. I do love her shop!!! I took off the one golden SS pearl that was there and added two silver slightly violet colored drops I had in my stash and it is perfect! The pearls are on the smaller side 7,7-9mm which I wanted for a more causal look and the luster and the colors on them are truly special.

Thank you Douglas, eolian, and Charlotta! My friend is kind of a minimalist when it come to jewelry, so I hope she gets some wear out of the remakes.

Eolian! Wow, talk about pearls in action!! I love it! Those Tahitians are just glowing on you and the sea. I also love your new Tahitian strand with your additions. It’s both a great size and length- a really nice look on you!

Wearing my blue Tahitian strand from Collins Pearls, with an Akoya keshi pearl chain from Kojima. The Tahitian pendant is from Katbran. And wearing the blue Tahitians again with large white keshi studs.

This thread is increasing my "Pearl Appetite"...I will probably gorge on pearls when we are reunited in San Francisco!
I think I've mentioned that I love that "keshi chain" of your jeg but I will say it again: I love it! The pendant just lives perfectly with it.
Blue stand and white keshi...great combo! :07:

Love the remade strand eolian pearls and that picture of the strand into a heart...:07:

Hey! Wish EVERYONE a beautiful and BLESSED weekend!

Thanks, Douglas! Looking forward to catching up with you in SF and the feast of pearls! The little Akoya were sitting out having a moment in the early morning light, so I put them on while making breakfast. :cool2:

Summer is almost over and I finally have a free Saturday. I headed to the Saturday Market hoping to run across some interesting jewelry findings. Got distracted by the food and flowers, but couldn’t decide between soft colors or brighter colors... so I got one for the upstairs and one for the downstairs!

I have had a hard time adapting to this new website and have missed my pearly friends and beautiful jewels! I’m more relaxed now and giving it a try again!!
Today went to a bridal shower draped in pearls!

Ooh, Jeg, those BLUES ... divine! I fell hard for a strand of tiny blue akoya keshi Caitlyn often wore :)

Lilpearl, so good to see you back; do ask if there's something in particular anyone here can help you navigate the new features :) You look lovely in the pearls, that pendant is dynamite, but I am entranced by those earrrings!
