Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

Thanks 86C! Hope mangoes are plentiful on Ban Island, I might have to come join you! I have to admit, the SS rope was worth it, though.;)

LOL!! Yes, plenty of mangoes for mango margaritas!!! That SS is a beautiful necklace!!!! I'm jelly! LOL

Wait ... there are Mangos on Ban Island? yay, as I'll be there very very very soon :) A good ripe mango is near impossible to get here.

Exactly one year ago today, I met up with pearl friends old and new for the first ever Pearls By The Bay event. Fingers crossed we’ll all be able to gather and travel safely for Pearls By The Bay 2021! I miss seeing you all!!!

Wearing a long mixed rope that was one of many treasures from the event. Worn with my Japan Kasumi 2019 harvest strand.

Comfort pearls. B/W Tahitian studs from Kamoka. The Coral Atoll necklace (shorter one) and the 2019 All-Josh Harvest necklace (longer one). They nest so well together even though they don't match at all. The Coral Atoll is all dark color and rings, and the All-Josh is more black and white with very smooth, satiny pearls.

Sea of Cortez pearl ring in PP Frost setting in pink gold. I can never capture the deep turquoise and hot pink that this pearl looks in real life.

Oh JEG. I'm so sorry I missed Pearls By The Bay. I wanted to go so badly. Those pearls are amazing. The wave strand is good, but that Kasumi harvest strand is the most spectacular Kasumi necklace I've ever seen.

Beautiful pearls Jeg. Pearls by the bay sounds amazing. Hopefully it will work next year. Otherwise zoompearls? We could all meet through internet or something. Better than nothing, this pandemic takes longer than most experts initially thought.
Bweaves, your tahitians are gorgeous. Somehow tahitians work together even if they don't match. I hope that you don't really needs comforting and that all is well. Pearls are a great comfort regardless.

Birthday Pearls

Beautiful pearls Jeg and BWeaves!
I'm wearing my birthday pearls. Even in the age of Coronavirus, I'm still trying to put outfits together complete with pearls to go nowhere. Anyway, I chose this strand for my early July birthday. I just got around to snapping pictures. The pearls have unusual colors of rust, beige and grey.

What beautiful colors & luster on your strands, Jeg. They look fabulous with your dress!

T's are always comforting, BW! Yours are lovely & you wear they so well. Your SOC ring is my favorite! I love the rose gold setting!

Luvgkitz, what a beautiful Tahitian strand! I love the unique colors!

Luvglitz: Great Birthday pearls!

Even if I'm wearing a T-shirt or my PJs, I still wear pearls. They just feel good on and make me feel good.

Well, oops. I just bought another pendant from Kojima. On the sale page for Greg Who Two there was a group photo with 2 other pendants. One was the big pink freshwater pearl, and the other was a South Sea pearl that looked a bit like a snowman. Sort of a triple pearl. It hadn't made it onto the website yet, but Kojima sent me photos and I just bought it. Very unusual drop shape.

Here's the link to Greg Who Two, and the Snowman is the center pearl in the group photo.

Thank you BWeaves, Charlotta, Luvglitz and 86C!

Happy belated birthday, Luvglitz! A great celebration strand!

BWeaves! A Greg Who two AND three? :D:D Cool snowman shape!

Pearls by The Bay ... SIGH. It was dreamy, exciting and wonderful! Pearl friends, a sailboat with a dolphin escort and a butler passing out cookies and chocolate pretzels ;) ... and we did miss every one of you who couldn't make it starting with but not ending with you, BWeaves :).

So many beautiful memories. Thank you Sarah, jeg, Cathy and Walter for making the event so special for me!

jeg- That rope is gorgeous ! The colour of the Kasumi with the blue Akoya is an amazing combination.

BWeaves - Has it cooled down ? I don't remember seeing you wear double strands in the summer !! They look fabulous all year around ! And the colour in that ring .... yow!

luvglitz - I like the colours in your Tahitians - I'm sure they work with everything.

Well, I haven't actually left my house since March due to COVID-19 shelter at home, so I've been in air conditioning the whole time. It's been in the 90's F every day, and storming in the afternoon. Humid. In other words, typical Florida summer weather. I don't even go for walks anymore because it's too hot and humid out.

Thanks Katbran!

A white Edison pendant from PP on a little h diamond bail. Worn with keshi chains and earrings I made.

Wonderful, Jeg!! Love those long keshi necklaces & the pendant is gorgeous! Your earrings are the perfect accompaniment for your look! Love your comfy dress, too.

Like BW, I'm not leaving the house today...it's just too hot & humid. A/C is my friend. I decided to wear this necklace anyway. Fun little FW pear torsade with CZ panther head clasp in sterling.

OOO, JEG, I love the keshi tin-cups and pendant. I might be accidentally channeling you today with my pearl choices.

86C: Love the panther torsade. (Autocorrect keeps changing it to tornado, which sort of works.). It reminds me of Mom's dragon torsade. I need to wear that more often. That's what I love about you all. You remind me to wear some of my forgotten gems.

Very hot today. The calm before the storm that's supposed to hit this weekend. Small Tahitian keshi tin-cup from Kojima. Reborn pearl necklace and earrings from a little jeweler in Mt. Dora, who's not there anymore. I think this was my 20th or 25th anniversary present. Can't remember. I just remember it was the closest I had gotten to drop pearls, before I discovered the wonderful vendors you all recommended to me. It's really hard to capture all the color and luster on these reborn pearls. And they're 100% nacre. I suppose they're really keshi, but you can see the lump in the middle where the previous pearl was cultured, and the new pearl grew in the old pearl sac.

BW, you look so lovely & cool. Those are perfect for a light & airy look. I love your Mom's dragon torsade & would love to find one for myself! Yes, you should wear it since we haven't seen it in a while! I hope you'll be safe over the weekend. It now looks like the storm will track northward along the coast.
