OMG PATTYE, where have you been all my life?
I just restrung my 9 mm Vietnamese baroque blue akoyas using your big eye needle and Beader's Secret in color sky. WOW! Your needle is the best I've every used, and Beader's Secret is the best beading thread I've ever used. I used to be a silk snob, but now I'm a convert. This is the first time I've ever restrung my pearls where they came out right the first time, and I did not have to restring them 3 times.
I've been wanting to restring them to change the laser ball clasp out for an orbit clasp for a while. Plus, I wanted to move some of the pearls around. I'm thrilled with the results. (I can't seem to get a photo of the strand by itself uploaded for some weird reason.)
Here they are nested inside my Japanese 10mm BBAs. They go great with my moonstone earrings.
Linked to my 6 mm Vietnamese BBAs for that Downton Abbey look.
In the top photo, they're hiding under my collar. The orbit clasps are just below the collar.
Squooshed to the side.
P.S. It was 88 degrees F today, right after Christmas, hence the lack of sleeves. It's supposed to be in the 60's the first week of 2016, I hope. I'm dying to wear a sweater. I love pearls on a tight sweater.
