Photos from the Ruckus 2016

Beautiful additions to your collection, BW! That pendant is one of my favorites from the amazing little h display and it does look wonderful with PJ's :)

Guys BW is so fabulous she wears amazing jewels 24/7, pajamas notwithstanding.

You picked some amazing pieces! Blues get me every time, they're so gorgeous. And little h is always drool-worthy.

Don't we just look stunning with pearls!

I kept looking at what everyone else was buying and thinking, "Whoa! Where did they find that? I never saw that."

Of course, if you see pics of Hisano's LittleH display and there are empty spots, I probably had those pieces clutched in my hot little hands.

I walked around with this piece for quite a while:

I'd prefer it without the geode pearls, because I feel they get lost and don't show up like the pendants geodes do, but I love Hisano's choice of pearls.

The mystery is solved! BWeaves, I saw you wearing those BBA in some of the other pictures, and had been thinking to myself...that's odd, I could have sworn her strand was a 36 inch rope! So happy to see your purchases (and to hear that you made it to the airport on time. That must have been stressful! Not just stressful, but UBER stressful! :p)

Littlefuzzysocks, I hope your husband is feeling better and that the two of you are either home or will be soon.

Playing around with my LittleH pendant. (I still haven't unpacked my suitcase. Priorities.)

On my 7 mm akoya choker. This really looks good. The necklace has bigger pearls than my Aunt Love's strand, and it's 16" vs. Aunt Love's 18" I showed you earlier.

On my yellow and white gold knitted tube necklaces. The yellow is 17" and the white is 16" long.

On both yellow and white gold cable necklaces. The yellow is 17" and the white is 16" long, also. I gave you the wrong price at Ruckus. The cables were in the $300 or $400 range, I think. It was the thicker knitted tubes in the above photos that were in the $900 range. My jeweler is a bit pricey, but she gets stuff I don't see anywhere else.

On a custom chain from a different jeweler. I have other pendants that actually attach to this one that are not pearls.

IMG_1352.jpg

I tried the pendant on my blue pearls, and it really clashed. Then I tried it on my Tahitians from Kojima and Wow!

I think the pendant will look good on the pistachios, but I need to string them first to really tell.

I think this is going to be a very versatile pendant. I'm going to wear it with jeans as well as fancy dresses.

cmd: I have far too many blues for my own good. I'm toying with the idea of selling my first strand of 10 mm BBAs which are 18 inches long, as I find I don't wear them as much as the other strands.

UPDATE: I'm keeping the 10 mm BBAs. I just ordered an orbit clasp for them. I'll probably wear them more if they have a clasp I really like.

Purr, I didn't get a chance to comment on your lovely 'make over'. Don't how you did it, but you made it even more beautiful!

BW, great loot! I remember you carrying around that Tahitian strand at PP - I did the same with Fiji pearls! Your Little H pendant is so lovely and versatile, and you can never have enough blues! Those pistachios are amazing!

So I just picked up my Fiji pearl bracelet from PP! I really love it so much!!!!! Here are some pics of my loot...

Fiji bracelet
1 metallic Edison drop (Newberry was so helpful with my decision - this time I'll try not to copy her setting!)
1 Golden akoya necklace - to wear with my blue akoyas
Blair's beautiful natural pearl strand ( I have an appt next week to make it into a necklace - I'm so grateful to have it!)
2 fun rings from Sarah - 1 pistachio Tahitian, one metallic keshi
1 beautiful SoC Pearl from Douglas - not sure what I'll do with it yet
2 intense bluish/peacock Tahitian pendants from Josh

That Fiji bracelet turned out great. Love, love, love the Fiji colors. I'm glad Blair's naturals have found such a wonderful home. And, those golden akoyas are stunning. I love how you style them with the blues. Wonderful choices all.

Thanks, Red!! You were so right about a solid pearl bracelet rather than a tin cup that I was contemplating! I owe you big time... Can't wait to see you 3 tone Fiji lariat!!

Lmgarden wow you did do good ;) love all of your choices!!!! You can copy any of my settings anytime. I really don't mind. It's fun to have pearl sisters.

Yesterday I contacted Sarah about her talk so for those of you not there you can read her presentation she graciously posted it on her blog for all to see.

http://www.kojimapearl.com/blog/

Now if only we can get her to post it here at some point too :)

I keep thinking how very lucky I have been to be at the ruckus this past weekend. Seeing old friends, making new friends, listening to the talks that all the presenters worked so hard on. Having the opportunity to see everyone's beautiful pearls in a house that was the perfect light box for pearls. Overtones upon overtones, smiles that light up the rooms and lots and lots of hugs and more pearls to numerous to count. Good food and memories that I store away like chestnuts to pull out on rainy winters day.

Thank you Jeremy and Hisano for all of this. Thank you for including me in this extraordinary event. Thank you!

Oh my oh my.. looks like some mighty loot imgarden. I have been eyeing those gold and blue akoyas. They look great on you. Those Fiji pearls. The colours are outstanding.

BW, love your choices, but my heart is with the little h pendant. It looks great in every photo! I hope you will wear it often and continue to share photos. ♡♡♡

Lmgarden, wow. That bracelet is incredible. Be careful driving to keep your eyes on the road! I can't wait to see the natural necklace. How silly I was to keep it boxed up for five years. I am so happy that you're going to enjoy wearing it soon. ♡♡♡

BW- Holy Moly I'm not surprised the Bank had a heart attack over the charges lol I'm surprised the card didn't melt ! But well worth it..look at that fabulous haul !!! I live in fear of my card being stopped when I'm away...it's impossible to call the bank when it's a 14 hr time difference. Even when they are on notice that Im travelling there have been times (Neimans...I'm talking about you ) when there's been a hiccup. ( yet another reason why I keep an American bank account...just in case...)

And the green in the pendant...just glows!!

lmgarden - whew! you melted some plastic as well lol !! Those golden Akoya...what fabulous lustre and it looks like green and pinks .. absolutely beautiful ! The SoC ... wow! And that bracelet ... omg.... stunning.....and the Tahitian pendants...and the...and the... Everything !!!

But how stressful is it to feel like you're going to be late for a plane..it takes soooooo long to get through an airport nowadays ! Glad you made it home ok !
