Sigh, Sorry Pattye....
I am having an awful lot of senior moments today.....
Just got a third of the way through stringing a necklace and realised that I'd cut enough silk for a bracelet.......
Right, then.
The pink pearls are natural colour freshwaters from Druzy. Teamed with 18 carat gold beads and faceted moonstones.
I can't tell you how good the moonstones look with the pink pearls - the flashes of cornflower/lavender blue compliment the pearls beautifully. The pearls are 6mm. - 7mm.
The bracelet is silver/white South Sea baroque pearls, teamed with deep royal blue kyanite beads and pink ruby beads and 18 carat gold beads. The kyanite beads are faceted, the rubies smooth.
The pearls are 9.8mm. x 11mm. to 10.7mm. x 13mm.
Here is a South Sea baroque silver white pearls necklace with pink and green sapphire beads.
Again, the gem beads are smooth, not faceted.
Pearls are 9.8mm. x 11mm. to 10.7mm. x 13mm.
One more before I go back to the beading room.
Champagne white South Sea baroques, with smooth tanzanite and green garnet beads. Pearls are 8.8mm. x 10mm. to 12.1mm. x 12.9mm.
Finally CFWP with fluorites and citrines (the larger beads) and small round tourmaline spacers with matching earrings (I may redo the earrings, they swing too much and feel heavy). This is a slightly longer necklace, about 20".
Finished this bezel set multi-gemstone and pearl piece not too long ago for a special customer... It contains Peridot, Brazilian Alexandrite, White Sapphires, Emerald, Ruby, Tanzanite and Citrine.
Sueki: I love the necklace with the moonstones! In most pieces I?ve seen the gemstones are either accenting the pearls or the pearls are accenting the gemstones... But in this piece they are kinda equal if you know what I mean!
Pearl Dreams: LOVE the tourmaline earrings! I love colours...
Usually my gemstone pieces do not contain pearls. I'm especially fond of tourmaline and use a lot of it.
Now I'm ready to string a necklace with purple jade, hemimorphite and amethyst. Makes me happy just to look at the colors! Hmm...maybe I'll play with the design a bit more before I string it, and see if a few pearls added in would look good.
I love looking at the photos of people's designs. Beautiful!
Here is a set I made quite a while ago with golden color Japan Akoya pearls, mixed natural color faceted spinel beads and 18k gold beads. I love the way that spinel in it's many thousands of shades compliments the glow of pearls.
Sarah,
That is FAB! Spinel has so much sparkle! And all those colors! The necklace looks longer than 18", is it?? Those golden akoya really glow, together with the 18k.
