We left Show and Tell half hour ago. It was extremely fun and educational.
I took pictures but cannot upload until Wednesday when I am home. My husband's laptop does not have our camera's program.
Blaire's presentation was filled with rare pearl pictures. We even got colorful handouts. Mike had plenty of pictures showing how mother of pearl buttons were made, a peek into the lives of pearler, their equipments, etc. Renee showed us pictures of her trip to China. She also signed her books and had them at a discounted price. I got to see Steve's exquisite collection of rare pearls. We heard more about Nautilus. And Douglas showed the history of Cortez Pearls, how spats were collected in the past, how his company was formed, etc.
The party was really fun. The PP ladies did an exceptional job of decorating the office with Japanese theme. There was a sushi chef with fresh sushi, Mike's caviar, hot food, Japanese desert, Steve's wine, Scotch presentation from Scotch master Chris. I had two sips and left the room but hubby stayed. We, pearl sisters/cousins, and companions had a great time. Everyone is very nice and the bond is our love for pearls. Jeremy Norris was there with his natural pearls and many pretty Monili clasps, one with pave diamond and encrusted with natural pearls. Douglas had some of his 2010 harvest pearls (strand, mabe pearls, baroque and near round pearls).
We had Show and Tell today and left much later than the estimated time. There were souffle pearls from Blair/Gemgeek, Maunakea Moonlight featuring Kamoka pearls (Waimeamomi), Cortez Pearls from Douglas, PP pearls (huge, round gold, white SS strands; loose SS baroque pearls; exquisitely lustrous AAA loose, drop peacock pearls; Tahitian drop strands; metallic freshwater strands, etc.)
