Hi all. I got my pinked hanadama studs today (brought over by my mother). Checked with my existing mikimoto strand/studs (but only A grade) - I can confirm the colour is accurate! I would say it is very shiny (?high lustre) but orient (sorry if my terminologies are all wrong - its hard to explain!) matches an A grade and having seen the AAA grade in Mikimoto - i don't think it can compare - the AAA grade seems to have a green and pink ring of reflection in the centre of the pearl when i saw in store. (is this orient?). Does orient reflect quality? And, I can see some evident blemishes (and a small scratch!) and on inspection of the mikimoto ones in store they seemed less blemished. The freshadamas I bought (just a few pearls to construct into a bracelet) however seem to be a very good quality of freshwater pearls and i intend to buy more of them! looks almost like akoyas but the sheen? seems softer and warmer and less 'metallic'
