One Tahitian into a necklace

Starry Pearl, you might want to call the manufacturer of Hypo cement to ask that question. Here's a phone number from the box, 1-585-241-2370 Please let us know what you find out.

Thanks, Pattye. That's so kind of you! I will call today or tomorrow if too busy today, and post what they say.

It's been bothering me whether I should buy a new tube with some other supplies for free shipping. Though just a few bucks, I try to avoid too many duplicates - already crowded enough.

Thanks, ennui, eolian pearls, Lilpearl, Katbran.

eolian pearls - you are welcome. I look forward to seeing your new necklace. ;)

Katbran - yea that's very convenient if one does not want to spend too much or stock up too many gems, plus the gems look high quality, so saving troubles looking and identifying. For me that's no problem, as I have been a long time handcrafter and accumulated many stones over the years. Now that I am in love with sea pearls, I wish I don't accumulate too many sea pearls before I know, as pearls do not last well if just left there like my stones. I also get the "relearning" feel though I have just started, lol! I am about to receive more Tahitians which I want to make a rope out of. I guess there might be some difference, especially if I decide to do the endless style. So far I still want to stick to the with-clasp style and see how a rope goes.

Thanks again, Pattye. I just called. The customer service specialist was very nice to talk to. She said she believed it would freeze, but she could not guarantee whether the cement would still work once defrosted. She suggested trying on a sample if it still looked normal after defrosting. In her words, she "really can't say anything" for sure about it.

Here it is Starrypearl :)

Oh my!! Look at that! :D We do have sister pearls, Eolian pearls! Your keshi did such a great job bringing out the center piece's beauty. Did you knot between the keshi pearls or simply string them? Maybe one day when I get tired with my freshwater chain I will change it to keshi, too. Thanks for YOUR inspiration this time! Congrats on your new beauuutiful necklace!

Your keshistrand with the rainbow tahitian is beautiful eolian pearls. I did make something similar with my akoya keshis recently and a big circled tahitian as a centerpiece. I also did forget to photograph it. It was those really small kind of akoya keshis that has to be strung on wire, very finickely.

wow! I love Kehi pearls...and when mixed in with a larger one...stunning results!

Thank you guys! StarryPearl, I did knot the first 4 pearls from the clasp and then every now and then a knot...Actually the thread ( Pattey’s #30) I used was quite thick so even when I cut the original keshi necklace up the pearls did not fall but stayed in place. Definitely a sister necklace to yours! I am thinking yours is a sunrise rainbow and mine is the sunset one :) Calling it “The Starry necklace” in any case now! Looking forward to seeing more creations from you! Tahitan rope sounds fantastic!!!

Charlotta we are creating again on the same wavelength! Would love to see your creation too! Those akoya keshis are very very tricky to work with!

Thank you, eolian pearls, for sharing the details. I love your idea of sunrise and sunset rainbows - if not sold individually, these two pearls might make a perfect match for earrings. :)

What a pretty pearl and nice design. excellent knotting, too. The blue thread is a nice touch.

Ohhhh...very nice colorful tahitian & worked into a lovely strand. Nice to be able to knot/string pearls & you did great!
