Unstrung pearls coming off the strand can be avoided by bead stoppers. A little coil that grabs the thread tight at the end and is squeezed to release the thread. I have at least a dozen of those and it just doesn't happen any more. LINK
Hi Caitlin,
I do have bead stoppers but let me tell you that they can really do a lot of damage when using silk (I have had my silk thread splitted and tangled within the stopper) so I have stopped using it. It is OK with Power Pro though...
Here's my next foray into knotting. These are the Tahitians I picked up in NY for a client. One pic is outside in the shade, one is next to the window, and the last one is without any lights away from the window. Now I'm into seeing how they find light. I didn't try the closet yet, because it has frosted glass doors, so it won't get dark until later. Then, back into the closet!
Well I've never tried to post a photo here before, but this one of my niece I took late in the day and I like the way the pearls show up. We'll see if I can get it to upload.
