Newbie, knotting techniques and thread choice

Knotty - I am glad you love silk so much. I love this forum too and how everyone is so passionate about "their" things, it would mess with my head if you started being a powerpro freak. I think I love powerpro cos I'm still such a novice knotter, and it makes me feel good that I can use it without breaks and tears.

As we haven't heard from Sueki yet - in Aus, cack-handed, or cacky handed means left handed... probs the same in the UK.

You know, I kinda thought that's what it meant. In the states we use the term "south paw."

Hi KnottyP,
Over here, cack-handed means clumsy, not very good with one's hands.
I think it did indeed originally mean left-handed as Nerida says, but now it is a term for poor hand-brain coordination.

Oh, and I'm going to give Dandyline a try. I do love the drape of silk which Powerpro doesn't quite match. So I'll try to find some Dandyline today and see how I get on with it.
