I just got to know this forum and have my first pearl ever. I bought it locally and wonder what members here may say about the quality of this pearl. Please let me know.
This past week of no pearl guide I still wore lots of pearls, light pearls mostly since it's been hideosly hot in sweden recently. I used my blue green 13.1mm tahitian studs from Pearlescence for 2 days.
I wore my golden south sea strand from Cees, my golden south sea studs from Oceanscove and my champagne enhancer from Pearlsociety one day.
I wore my white south sea and grey tahitian strand and bracelet with pearls from Cees and Pearlescence with my white 9,4 south sea studs.
The last 2 days I have been wearing my green and pink 14mm tahitian studs from Pearlescence.
I got a new baroque silver tahitian strand from Cees. It's gorgeous even though I cannot capture the overtones fight today. I taket some more photos soon.
The studs are ny green and pink tahitians from Pearlescence.
I bought another pair of tahitian studs from Wendy at Pearlescence. They are dark green and 12,6mm, the color is a beautiful forest green, hard to capture on photos. I will try again soon. In these pictures they look mostly black, but when I hold them against my blue stud, they really are green.
Another photo on my silver tahitians from Cees.
I knotted the tahitian strand with Beaders secret in sky, I have order aqua, grey and mist but they are held hostage by the swedish postal service again. That's the biggest problem with ordering from USA, the package change code when they arrived to sweden, then I cannot search for the package once it's in sweden and therefore cannot pay the taxes om them right away. I have to wait for the mail. My package has been in sweden for almost 10 days now. Shipments from other parts of the world don't change code. I don't know why. Fedex are of course trackable, I then knows when they left the package unprotected on the porch unless I want to stay home from work for a week...
The silver strand looks so BLUE, Charlotta! Are they blue-ish to your physical eye, or is that just the camera and light having that effect? Pearls are such chameleons!!!
ETA: I'd love to see ear shots of your gorgeous new studs! I must have the world's smallest earlobes. All I can muster is 10.5mm at the very largest, and even they look a bit too big. LOL! This has saved me a lot of money on pearl studs, over time.
Thank you Cricketbug. The silver strand has blue overtones, in some lights pink overtones as well. I try to get some earshots on the studs during The weekend.
I tried to get some bettet photos of the silver tahitian strand I bought from Cees. But the colors aren't right. Anyway, I will soon be at the summera cabin with good pearllight.
With the ever versatile tahitian enhancer from Pearlsociety.
With my triple blue akoyas from Pearlescence.
And with my pastell akoyas from Pearlescence.
With my blue tahitians from Pearlescence.
Pearlpile.
My beautiful forest green tahitian studs from Pearlescence still will not let the camera capture there true color...
Thank you Cricketbug, a silver strand has been on my wishlist for a while. Because of the rather big pearls in the center of the strand it reads bigger then it is when worn, just like my white south sea strand that I also got from Cees. Cees always finds me the nicest pearls. Here are some photos of the silver tahitian strand and the White south sea strand.
If you are so inclined, and when you have time, it would be great to see a "neck" shot of the silver strand on you, Charlotta. I'm fascinated to see what they look like "on" you!
