My pearl earring collection

Some time back, Boo posted photos of her pearl earring collection. After putting most of my pearl earrings into a rack, I decided I had collected enough to show. These are the earrings I love and wear. ;)

I had to put a piece of paper behind them as the black background did not work. And they didn't photograph well, but I think you can get an idea. ;)

Wow, what a collection!

Eye candy alright! :D

holy cow! so jealous. i adore the pairs with high karat gold findings, the contrast is so lovely.

Carrie had shoes, you have earrings.
Clear preference for single big dangles evident there, with some lovely pearls and findings.
Which is your default pair?

Yes, Blaire, which ones have created a soft spot in your heart, and please model them for us!!! We spats must have something to dream towards! ;)

The abalone are my favorites. Just gorgeous. Wish I could wear earrings. Anyone feel sorry for me yet?

Gemgeek, gorgeous collection - I especially love the circle FW (?) with the twisted wire... did you make those findings? They are beautiful. They are all beautiful..

Well, I just realized there are a few pearls not on the rack. The PP natural color blue baroque akoyas and some silver-colored Tahitian pearl studs I had made into fancy dangles, as well as some fancier earrings I don't often wear. The little Freshadamas are the only pearl studs I currently wear because the telephone works most of my stud pearls right off the posts! ;)

The ones I throw on when I'm in a hurry because they go with everything are two pairs I made:

I seriously adore the Care Ehret Sea of Cortez pearls

And I'd sooner cut off my arm than give these Abalone mabes up...

Recently, I temporarily put this pair of Care Ehret Kasumi pearl charms on findings I picked up a few years ago. I need some high karat gold wire or jump rings to finish them. You can see the jump ring is too big and the wrong color.

I very rarely wear the enormous ringed SSP earrings, but they look terrific when I'm all dressed up. Of course I have a pendant to match. Oh, yeah, I have my "party nails" this month! Love those interference colors. ;)

Thanks!!!

Are you talking about these?

They are 13mm, measured across the middle, Paspaley circle' south sea pearls. I purchased the pearls loose and later found the findings. ;)

The pea pods are carved on the back so they are rounded under each "pea". This set came in very handy when we went to visit the Robert Wan showroom on the GIA pearl tour. I wanted to wear pearls, but I have nothing in their league, so I wore the pea pods. They were a great hit with the staff. ;)

The pea pods are very unique :)

Hi Blaire,

Hafta say, have adored the pea pods since you first showed them-----WOW what a collection! The blue eyris are like little headlights, POWERFUL! I may have the same jewelry storage system as you---but not nearly so many pearl earrings!! What a fun Sunday afternoon!

Hi Blaire

Hi Blaire

Hi Blaire,
You have a jaw-dropping collection. How do you decide what to wear everyday? I love the peas, the circled pearls, etc, etc. I like the dark red drops too. Where did you get that storage system? Thank you for sharing. :)

Thank you and thank you! ;) Of course, I have been trying to wear some of my other jewelry. I have to get that "cost per wearing" thing down, but mostly, I do wear pearls. I have a lot of necklaces, but I usually wear pendants.

The red-looking pearl earrings match a necklace. They are really brown with a red cast. I picked them up in Tucson last year. The findings are kind of funny, but they look fine when they are on the ears.

This is the jewelry box, fyi. ;)

Thanks for letting me do the photo-thing!

Yes, Blaire, what a tour of the spectacular! I love the Care Ehret Cortez on the second row - (I'm saving for a similar pair on her site now!), and the abalone, also.

Don't the abalone pair match a ring that you showed us recently? I remember being stunned by it, and seems like they are similarly set, if memory serves.
