My Kamoka Pearls

Thank you, Ivona, Pattye, Alex, GemGeek, dkan, Adeline, Caitlin, and Amrita for your kind words. When I first received this Kamoka, I was disappointed with the bronzey tones that it had with the green. But, when I laid it out with these brios, the color was perfect. I just had to have the designer come up with an enhancer for my new necklace. The designer told me afterwards that they will never do a red gold enhancer/clasp again. Apparently, that metal is more difficult to work with than yellow gold. But, with these colors, it just had to be the red metal, so they did it. I feel fortunate to own this very special piece.

Ivona, I hope you have posted picures of your new Kamoka earrings. I waffled between the ones I chose and the purple-blue pair. I finally went with peacock, because those are my favorite color for pearls.

These are my very best pearls, of course. I will have to start another thread for my more ordinary (i.e., non-Kamoka) pieces.

Time for a Kamoka update. I have recently added two new Kamoka pieces to my collection. My Christmas present this year from my dear husband was the Kamoka and freshwater pearl bracelet set in sterling by Sarah at Kojima Pearl. The Kamokas are 9 mm.

The second piece just arrived today. It is the aubergine wonder pendant from the Kamoka web site. This 11 mm pearl is perfectly stunning. I'm hoping it will tide me over until I can afford an entire Kamoka strand.

This is my very first aubergine colored Tahitian, and I'm finding the colors on this fabulous pearl fascinating. I recently purchased a 17mm freshwater Edison pearl from Pearl Paradise, and I tried pairing it with my new 11mm Kamoka Tahitian. I think that the two pearls look pretty amazing together. The smaller Kamoka does a great job holding its own. I had a lot of fun doing a photo shoot. Enjoy!
