I think this one wins as the best man-in-pearls photo, ever!

Yes! A single pearl on a guy is more commonplace nowadays, but this guy definitely wins as best "modern" man-in-pearls! Wonder what he really thought about the pearls?

Ha! Just before I read your post, I suddenly thought about what would happen with a shirt. Maybe one of those white tank undershirts would still work. Or maybe a tight black tee shirt?

Clearly, the color of his skin enhances the pearls. Oh, and the muscles don't hurt, either!

I have a man/pearl uphill battle here in England. Most men turn white at the very suggestion and run away.
Pearl cufflinks are popular though.

The white tank undershirts have a negative vibe to it as wife beater shirts. The model is fine as shown with muscles. I wonder how many men would wear a rope in real life?

I saw a man necklace in Rarotonga in Feb. It was a strand of big ring pearls with a natural fiber connecting the massif ring pearls.

In the Hip Hop community guys have been wearing beads of all sorts for years, pearls shouldn't be too much of a stretch. I think its just that pearls are considered such a feminine gemstone, it scares most guys.

Yes! The juxtaposition of the dark skin and the dark pearls...sumptuous. It doesn't work for a mainstream look, but I think it totally works as a kind of islander dandy look...like, a loose white, open tunic or button-down (unbuttoned) could work with it perhaps...

Man pearls are a favorite of mine... Karl Lagerfeld appears to have been wearing a full strand of Tahitian pearls at the Met Gala this year. Somehow it didn't have the same effect, but I still noticed. My first customer was actually a man buying a pearl necklace for himself, and my husband wears a pearl necklace when we go out. I certainly look twice when men wear pearls.
