Ideas for setting this Tahitian drop?

I am in need of some ideas myself Icy Jade thanks for the thread. I have a few new pearls that need set one is a 14.8 very near round green tahitian with some pink, I feel it needs yellow gold and maybe diamonds, but just can't find anything to make it really special. Any suggestions for me would be appreciated. The pearl is more pale than the picture

I am not trying to jack your thread IcyJade! I also can see white gold and diamond too. Color still is more pale, I can't get to come out good. IMG_9764.jpg

I looked but didn't really see any setting that I liked for rounds. But I must confess that I greatly prefer drops for pendants so that could be why. I did spot some earring and ring settings that caught my eye and I'll just post them here in case anyone is interested.

Not sure if you have a Pinterest account? If not you can consider creating one to browse/search for inspiration. It's like a curated collection of pretties so I had far more luck/fun looking on Pinterest than via google searches.

Oooh, sigh ... I want an octopus ring ... with a Sea of Cortez head ...

I love the color but would worry about tarnish if it's silver instead of white gold.

True. But I thought you ladies might be interested to see what a 'wg' colored version would look like.

Personally I try to avoid silver settings for my pearls unless I don't have a choice.

P.S. On that thought, I wonder why rhodium plated settings aren't more commonly available?

Thanks, it's great to hear back on what everyone prefers. I haven't decided yet but I'm sure budget will have a part to play too.
But I may just keep the pearl till I see a setting that I know will be perfect...

Btw if you liked the last pic I posted with the gold bail, more pics here:

It looks like a commercially bought bail and I wonder which vendor sells that bail?

Chroman: I thought about a swirly cap but wanted something a bit simpler in design. But thanks for sharing. :)

Administrative Note: This thread had a plethora of great example photos. This was a better post with the links to the jewelry, THANK YOU! A reminder that people put a lot of effort into their work and we should make a mention of where the photos come from so that the sellers/creators can get credit for their work. It pains me when people talk about having their jeweler recreate something that they could easily get from the source. Let's all show courtesy to artisans and sellers by giving credit with each photo - at least a name.

Thanks to everyone for helping on this. :)
