Hong Kong -sept

Yes. You can see how unifirm the colour is. Same as some gss get 'help'.
Not so easy to see with single strand but the rar wax colour is easy to spot in a hank or tray

Well, that is disappointing...I had hoped they'd found a way to produce more natural golds.

But are these actually brand-name Edisons (Grace) or another brand of bead-nucked FWP? Do you know?

Ah. Same. Disappointing it's dyed. I wonder if they would be able to produce a natural gold strand in future?

Pearl Dreams - I'm going to get more photos today. I've been a bit slack in that department ! The offices have been busy with customers and I've spent all my time sitting in an office going through tons of pearls. I will definitely start taking photos now that the bulk of the buying is finished.
(Thanks for straightening out my photos ! )

Pearl Dreams - I was in the Grace office when I took those photos . Those golds were everywhere there ..floor ...shelves..here is a poor shot of shelves . image.jpg lol gravity defying pearls ! Please switch it up PD ...please

Thanks for coming to the rescue Cathy! My H and I were watching the DVD of Genius.

I have to admit to not understanding why Grace would want to dye its Edisons. It seems to dilute the brand name; I could see people thinking that their amazing purples are also dyed.

Anytime, ladies ... happy to help ... don't want my Photoshop to think I don't love it anymore. I'm home with a nasty cold, and the "levitating" photo made the room start to spin LOL.

Grace calls all their bead nuked pearls edisons. I've had edison receipts for some dross beforec now.
Why the dyed...still a fraction of the price of the gss they imitate. Even the dyed gss are cheaper than the finest gss

Katbran, I know what you mean about the prettiest of the dyed pearls. Not so long ago, I thought I had enough white pearls ... a nice necklace, a few pair of earrings, a bracelet with a few pearls on ... and then I saw beautiful dyed "black" pearls, exactly as you described above, had to have them and ... well, look where that took me LOL!

Does anyone know any vendors selling genuine Japanese Kasumi-ga-ura pearls at the show? I usually only go to the shows for gemstones but would be interested to look at pearls too this time. (Not a trade member,I get in as a 'private collector' ;))
