dm jewellery tahitian collection :)

Love the rings!

DK :)

faceted pearls are a bit strange looking! saw them at the fair too...but your pearls and your photography is lovely! I wish i had a pinctada margaritifera shell!

here is one i made tonight i quite like the simple design of it, normally everything i make is made of platinum and 18 kt gold with diamonds so for a change here is a amazing aaa avaiki / cook island pearl in a silver pendant :) the pearl has a very metallic silver blue look over it so great match with the silver

That necklace is a fabulous design! So simple, yet elegant. I would wear it! I actually prefer silver. Do you ever duplicate designs? That one is a winner!!!

About what would you sell that for? I probably can't buy it, but I want to know anyway, if you don't mind.....

Love the new pendant!

Oh, swoon! Thanks for sharing such beautiful creations! I adore the rings and the faceted pearl on the first page is one of the nicest I've ever seen.

thanks guys happy you like the pendant :)

@caitlin i only make one of a kind pieces because every design is adjusted to the gem or pearl. at the moment i am working on some pieces like these ( not the same but close )ill let you know when i finished some. they normally reach in price between 300 and 900 usd in silver (prices all depends on the pearl) right now i am working on a silver necklace with a 19 mm tahitian :S was not sure about using a 19 mm in silver only thats what the costumer wants so yeah thats what they get :)

hey julie,

they are indeed tahitians right now i have some amazing color s and luster from the cook island that i will send to japan to be facetted as wel :)

its not stupid to ask the first time i was looking at them in hong kong i thought there was a epoxy layer over the pearl and that was facetted etc because when you look close you see a ball shape inside each facet that actually is the layers where the pearl was build up from that shows itself after polishing

Daniel, Please show us photos of the new lot after they have been faceted. I've seen lots of inexpensive freshwater faceted pearls, and would love to see more of the high quality like your Cook Island pearls.

So perhaps there isn't an epoxy layer over the freshwater pearls, it's just that the layers show after faceting? Most interesting.

the chinese ones is a other story i think they look quite cheap no straight facets etc they probable use some coating so they can facet them with a faceting bead machines when you take a pearl and make a little _ facet on them with a diamond file you will also see a lil ball shape these are just the layers sometimes i see the chinese ones and don't see this then i think there is a epoxy over them or something else

the japanese guys is a other story they need a pearl with quite a thick nacre and do it with hand on modified diamond cutting tools so you get a way nicer product

normally i just bought them at shows like hong kong etc but now i figured i will just send some of what i think are beautiful pearls and lets see if it gets better or worse :)

will be some time before i have them there and there back but i will keep you guys updated :)

i should upload more but the company is so busy i don't have time to take pictures etc when i just polished this ring i finally figured to make a picture :)

the pearl came out a rikitea lot the march hk show and one of the nicest copper tahitians i had so far :) its set in 18 krt red and white gold with pave diamond on top and side of the setting

picture was taken under 4000k light and has no photoshop or anything to the color :)
