Dang Pattye, you're the best! What an eye! The shapes of the agate and pearls are brilliant. Those beads make you one of the best beaders around, too. What a gal!
Gosh, thanks Everyone, for your generous compliments , You give me confidence to take on more "restyling projects"--as I have several requests from friends. Probably best to practice on Sis first, however!
Goodness, it's been awhile since I posted anything here! Recently my niece announced she was getting married in ten days (free spirit that she is at 31), and since I had promised to make the jewelry for her and the bridesmaids, didn't have time to shop around. Her dress was extremely white with crystal and pearl trim, and purple her color for bridesmaids.
So settled on white/silver cfwp with microfaceted rock crystal quartz for her (bracelet not shown) and amethyst and pearl for bridesmaids. small swarovski crystal roundel accents on both sets.
I will hopefully put up a photo eventually of her wearing them. Luckily, she loved the pieces!
Now you know we will be waiting for the photos, Pattye....
nice work, as always, and I am certain they all looked gorgeous! I am sure weddings probably work just as well with 10 days' notice as they do with 10 months. Congratulations to your niece!
It was a garden wedding, Amiga (one of the sweetest dogs in the world) did an outstanding job carrying the rings---attached to her faux pearls, (not shown) All three of them were just here in Portland on their way back to Seward Alaska where they will have a small B&B and he is a sailing ship captain and also runs tour boats.
Oh Pattye I've just turned to mush looking at that beautiful pic of Vanessa and Devin!! What a lovely couple and how happy they look Amiga is very distinguished. The special jewellery you created for the bride and her maids is gorgeous! The pearls with crystals look perfect with Vanessa's stunning gown.
Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful occasion with us and very best wishes to the bride and groom as they begin their life together
Lovely and elegant! Congratulations to be bride and groom--and to Amiga --maybe a new career as a ringbearer for unique weddings. Your jewels are just beautiful--as always
I started at the beginning of this post and saw some of your earlier designs. Just spotted the wedding and lovely pooch. I love dogs, cats too but dogs are my great love.. What a beauty.
Must go back and look at the rest you have uploaded here.
As I said I spotted your 3 year old posts and love the Coral necklace. That coral is so very hard to get. Especially naturally coloured and not cheap. I have some antique branch natural red coral which I recently made up. Planning on doing a similar one but mixed with pearls as they go so well together as you well know.
Will include a photo of the piece I have recently made and listed.
Looks like you are a very prolific beader. It can be so much fun. I must take a few days off working on ebay and get back to the enjoyable part, designing.
How do I look at your site? Noticed somewhere here that you have one. Should have expected it really because we can hardly keep on buying and making without selling a few pieces.
Am proud to report much progress with my knotting skills! As with music lessons, it's practice, practice, practice! It has been almost 3 years since my first lesson with Caitlin during the Tucson Gem Show 2008. Thank You So Much, Caitlin!
Am I the only one having a horrible time getting the photo attachments to load? Seems like the old program had fewer steps.
