How is everyone doing with sorting through their HK loot? I've just about rediscovered my workbench and the big table in the stock room is cleared now. Most strands sorted, just a few left to do, then on to earrings and pendants, drilling and pairings.
I see Hisano and Jeremy spent last weekend sorting through loose Tahitian lots!

just finished drilling and matching a 15-16 mm Tahititian round pearl strand

Well, I've been a very good consumer! I am having a metallic triple strand custom-made by Jeremy and Hisano (details to come). It has been a joy to follow their adventures and I am very excited to receive these special pieces!

Not sure what I will be getting from the HK show yet but I will find it on October 17 when I get to go shopping at PP. :)

A White Metallic triple strand? or colored? Because if it's colored, I won't have to kill you for it. Or die from envy. (Sinister left eyebrow-lift)

Um, you are going to want to kill me. And wait until you hear the details...

Oh, all right!!! Sigh. Pls get earrings and a bracelet too. And I'll have to hear details and see pictures before I die.

Pattye and Lisa c -- I'm not withholding! Hisano is super busy so my necklace will have to wait, and I'm not in hurry. I think I'll be able to post pictures by the end of the month. I don't wear bracelets. I'll have to think about the earrings...

Hanaleimom -- your earrings are absolutely gorgeous!!! We are all waiting for ear shots...

LOL, too funny! Just another reminder of the limitations of language and the printed (posted) word! As someone who hasn't posted a single photo to her albums, mastered her brain or her new(ish) camera, I'd be the last person to criticize anyone for a photo-posting delay, (heeheehee).

However! Now that I know it won't be a suite with bracelet, I no longer have to kill or die for it! Madame, you have given us both a reprieve (grateful bow of the head, with slight hand flourish).

It was so fun following along with the posts from the show and waiting with anticipation for these items to go up for sale.

BAS Oh I can't wait to see your new triple strand!!!

I've got a surprise for you all, too. Jeremy and Hisano are conjuring up a magical, um, substantial, necklace. There are more design elements to design, so it will be a while before the final form is ready to share. What a joy it is to play with them!:)

Dear Patricia, here some photo's of the 15-16mm Tahiti strand with 3 loose pearls.

Have we stopped using the word 'klonks'? Otherwise it seems appropriate here :)

Anything 12mm and up is a klonk- Actually, make that 11+mm! Tiny pearls klink, medium pearls klank and big pearls klonk when knocking against each other. It is also a shorthand way to indicate general size of cultured freshwater pearls, though "klonk" is generally the the most used of the 3 terms. Edisons will probably be called Edisons and not klonks, so its use hangs in the balance doesn't it? Maybe we should keep the term for the non-edison large fw pearls? Really, Edisons are superklonks! I can hardly wait to hear what a 17mm strand sounds like .... maybe it will be so deep, we will have to invent a new word!
