365 Days of Pearls

I wasn't thinking warrior princess until JP said it, and now I fully expect a sword, a shield, and Wonder Woman tiara in the next photo. I love the look. I admired the MOP necklace on JEG at my first RUCKUS. Yours is gorgeous, too.

I admired hers too! (Thank you, JEG.)

Day 272:

I think I'm going to have to see feather pearls in person, because this is just so gorgeous.

Thanks, JerseyPearl, pattye, and BWeaves!

Day 273:

I’m so excited— I bought new pearls! These are stick pearls from Catherine Cardellini. I’d always pause when I’d see these on her website... but I had so many pearls! Then I saw BAS’s strand of pink stick pearls and I was floored. Luster and overtones on these are breathtaking and shapes are interesting as well. I paired them with freshwater drops.

Metallic freshwater rope from Pearl Paradise, Tahitian necklace from P
These two necklaces inspire ferocious desires, especially the dark necklace, for Winter's crackling fires.
(although I must say, after breathing in the neighbor's fireplace smoke all bloody Winter, the romance of fire has long been depleted)

Thank you, lisa c!

I must have a different fireplace smoke in mind, because I love the smell of it! Or maybe the fact that it isn’t constantly there makes it pleasant...

Sadly, yes it taxes the lungs to be on the other side of a drawing chimney for months. Who knew?
Some neighbors have been supplementing their normal heating systems with wood-burning this winter.

Anyway, Winter is my favorite season (cold crisp air, snow and cashmere) so when the smoke clears, fires will go back to Pure Romance, and photos of your gorgeous collection of pearls (and cashmere).

**p.s. don't worry about pearl hoarding until you can fill a claw-footed bathtub to the rim. Or maybe a basement. That's the Rule.**
