Love your collection, seventhsphinx and thanks for sharing your storage ideas that are so aesthetically pleasing as well as practical in terms of accessibility of the jewelry items that one wants to wear...:)
Juliebeth, I had missed this thread before. What a treat to see all your colorful designs today. I think they are very creative and rather unexpected which adds to their beauty. I love the lapis necklace!! Well done!! :)
I came across this article and thought it is a cool piece of news where a scientific method has been used (by isolating DNA from pearls) to identify the oyster that produced the pearls. Here is the link to the article: http://phys.org/news/2013-10-bad-news-fake-pearls.html
Katbran, not sure what a Rolo chain is, but I thought of this bracelet when I read this thread. We used a method similar to what Bernadette has shown except that the pearls on this bracelet are attached from one side only and float around the wrist. Hope this helps. :)
I got my copy a couple of days ago too at last. So thrilled to have it in my hands at last. Hadn't realised it was so massive. It is the pearl bible. Thanks to Battah for giving me the link to it. Had to pay extra for shipping to China, but it is so worth it! :)
