Well the time has come. Maternity leave is over, and I’m trying to find a silver lining in the fact that it’s an excuse to wear pearls to work. If you have to go back to work, may as well.

Tahitians for fortitude. Those of you who warned me about pearl shrinkage syndrome - you were right. I found a pair of 10mm Tahitian studs, and I actually love wearing them. Their color and luster is good but the surface has quite a few little dents and dings - but it made them affordable! The necklace is a fixed curved bar of multicolored circle Tahitians on a silver chain. The thing I like about this necklace is that with the right shirt you do get the look of a strand in the front without actually wearing a full strand.

Those are beautiful!

HAPPY EASTER TO ALL THAT CELEBRATE IT AND HAPPY DAYS TO EVERYONE.

@PearlyLibrarian Pearl rings are tricky for me as well, I only ever wear mine for shorter outings except for my SoC mabe which obviously is not sticking out too much. Your bypass ring does look beautiful! Hope it really is a sturdier style and you get to enjoy it for longer wears. And I love the circled Ts bar necklace too, sometimes the full pearl necklace just feels too much and this style is much lighter and more casual. All the best for your return to work! Yes! getting to wear more pearls daily is very motivational ;-)

Congratulations @Shani on your knotting and the beautiful CMW bracelet! I really like lighter Tahitian pearls, their subte overtones are quite magical to me.

Introducing my biggest changeover of this year …the Akoya Candy strand…I have actually pulled apart 4 different Akoya necklaces to create it.
When @jeg posted a while back her mixed SSP rope it was love at first sight and then I realized that I actually could recreate this rope akoya-style. It took my 10-11mm Takahashi silver akoya necklace, 7-7,5mm ombre Takahashi and Druzy necklace, 5-6mm Pearlescence Vietnamese akoya necklace and 3-4mm Fine Pearls USA tiny akoya necklace to make this work.
Of course I got quite a few leftovers and ended up making a 2 different akoya and gemstone necklaces and one bracelet too. A win win as I absolutely loved those akoyas before but I hardly ever wore them… I am sure all these new versions will fare better.

WOW, the Akoya Candy is beautiful! That's a pretty big project, but totally worth it.

I love them all! Chunky studs and tiny keshi.

Today I'm in dark Edisons from PP and Kasumi and amethyst earrings from Kojima. They don't match, but they go.

To my personal rate, the colors of earrings and necklace complete each other. Their colors are very closed if my screen

I DID IT!!! I made it through every post in this thread!!! I am simply overwhelmed by all of the beauty here. I guess now it's time to post a few of my own. The first really expensive pearls I bought were at Na Hoku, and I sometimes wondered if I over-paid for them. My only disappointment with them is that they have a SS clasp and considering the price, the pearls better be some darn good quality lol! I love them though (combo SS and Tahitians).
Love the ombré colors delicately shifting from dark to lighter colors. Well crated and good eye.

The Jack Lynch PP live crescent hoop gradient Tahitian drops (what a lengthy description) get a well-deserved day in the sun today with the curved bar circle T necklace.
