Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

@Pomelo Wow! Those do look fantastic - thank you for sharing those! You definitely pull them off well! I will have to investigate more …

@BWeaves I love the color of that lapis with the pearls. Reminds me of the blue willow pattern dishes I grew up with!

Clearly I love the blue and white combo because I sandwiched one of my white akoya studs between my two silver blues. I am glad people enjoy the symmetry, but I have to confess I usually photograph my more symmetrical side. The second piercing on other ear is not spaced as well and really sort of throws off the stack. I could get it redone to fix it … but I haven’t had the motivation to and don’t want the scar. BUT seeing them next to my gold hoop now makes me think I need a pair of goldens to mix all three colors ….

You can really rock those serious stud sizes, Pomelo!

Lapis looks great with those rice krispy strands, BWeaves!

Thanks for sharing your fun adventures in stud stacking, PearlyLibrarian! I see new colors and sizes in your future…

Dark Tahitians are still my favorites!

WOWZA. Gorgeous window shopping.

Visiting Dad today. One of my Dad's lady friends fondled my pearls. A fellow pearl lover.

Ocean's Cove TNT necklace (Tourmalines and Tahitians). Longer Tahitian strand from Kojima, I think. Tahitian pendant "La Perlagrina" from Kamoka. Opal and Tahitian drop earrings from Kojima. I bought these all at different times, but they all match. I'm drawn to certain pearl colors.

gorgeous lustre and colour !

Thanks so much, Luvglitz! They are a fun pair of earrings.

Seaglass Tahitian strand from Kojima, an amethyst orchid charm from Druzy, and keshi chain and earrings I made. Celeste (Kamoka) added the little Tahitian keshi to the charm for me.

Jeg, when you do a majority of your wrapping, what metal composition of wire are you using and aprx size? thanks!

After posting about my big stud journey (haha thanks @BWeaves for the chuckle), I decided to wear them with my ombré soufflé T and WSS bracelet + silver bracelet = necklace combination.

The T stud is not round and you can kinda tell from the side profile shot, but I’m not prepared to spend $$$ on a round 16.5mm T with good lustre (yet)

@Pomelo I absolutely love that T ombré on you and you can feature the light or dark in the front. So creative. I am still on the hunt for a good chain bracelet to use in a similar way. If you come across one online please share :)

So while my enlightenment came from blue akoyas (and one day I will collect some true intense blues …. sigh), I am quickly becoming obsessed with Tahitians/french poly pearls, keshi, and especially Tahitian keshi. It is sooo hot and humid here already, but this graduated silvery Tahitian keshi bracelet was so lightweight and comfortable yesterday. If it weren’t a pearl no-no, I’d be temped to leave it on 24/7 and just live in it. I’m trying to incorporate at least a hint of pearl into each day, and I loved watching the light catch these keshi.

Thanks so much, CatMom! Dark Tahitians always remind me of Hawaii, where they seem to have a preference for wearing dark Tahitians. And ouch! I hope your bruise is the worst of it and you didn’t have anything severe happen to your hand. Your beautiful bracelets definitely draw all the attention!

Pomelo, your bracelet lengths give you all sorts of options. That combo looks great with your giant studs, and I agree with saving $$$ going with an off-round.

Shani, I typically wrap with 14kt gold filled in 26-24. I haven’t had any issues with discoloring, and since it’s for myself, I can always redo if it starts losing it’s shine.

I love keshi, too, PearlyLibrarian, and your bracelet is so sweet!

I am on the fence… I chose some vintage Akoya in random sizes and color from Fuji’s boxes at Tucson. They needed to be drilled, and after receiving the drilled lot, I am in debate whether to string them up as a bubbly necklace, or go with my original plan of more wire-wrapped necklaces in different lengths.

And more Tahitians I haven’t had out for a while… The pearls for the studs and shorter necklace were collected from CMW, and I think most of the pearls in the rope were collected from JNB.

I am an absolute sucker for the bubbly style strands, and these look so lovely the way you have them configured in your picture!
