to me the pearls look freshwater culture..going by the pics...the shape and color along with luster suggest that..
its impossible to find so many violet and pink color natural pearls as they would it self be worth millions then..
natural pearls cannot have so good shape..i agree there can be a...
how do you value melo pearls?... i saw 2 melo pearls witha trader... weight of each pearl was approx 50 ct...and had a bangkok lab cert stating them to be non nucleated melo pearls...the trader did not allow me to take a pic of the pearls...i am interested in buying them but dont know its real...

I to agree with Tom...get them certified woth Gia...
If they are natural then they will fetch a real good sum...
The necklace as it is looks really beautiful...avoid restringing them if the thread is still in good condition...

For me the pearls look like freshwater/culture pearls from the photos...need to have a close look for a more precise opinion
